I get on you for your dumb fights with Bernstein. A lot of times you make no sense. But you did a good job with this one. You didn't nail it. There were other things you could have said. I was fighting them with you in my car and had some better comebacks. You missed on a couple of openings. Still, of all your fights with Bernstein, this was your best one. At least of the ones I've heard.

CSFMB is proud of you. :thumright:

For those that didn't hear it, around 4:35 to 4:50 drink was fighting B&B on Cutler's postgame comments where he didn't take blame.

Wow.

Drinky on the muscle.

Terry proving he is totally full of shit. "I can GUARANTEE....."

BerSTINE: Talking in circles and forsaking all of his "I'm super smart" narratives.

Enjoy the warming glow of victory while it lasts, Drink!

In regards to the fight:

1. It matters if Cutler did it to somebody on the team that's good. Everybody on the Bears knows that Webb sucks. He's the type of guy that needs to be called out and embarrased. Cutler's bump on him was a good thing.

2. Should Jay have said "we" instead of "they" when talking about the bad game? Sure. That's what most QBs do. I don't think it will get in the way of an 11-5 season. Players on the Bears know Culter is a stud. He got them to an NFC title game and was 7-3 last year. They know he's the one that can win a SB for them. You either have that QB or you don't. Bears have one. Cutler has taken a beating in his years here. He has notches on his belt. If he didn't, his attitude would be taken differently by the team.

I heard this & loved it. However, B&B are right on this one.

Drinky has been increasingly pissy with Bernstein over the last few years.

I do think this is all leading to drinky eventually punching Bernstein in the very near future.

I don't think drinky's anger is all about the subjects on the show. I think it goes deeper. He just uses the show content to let it all out. He's pissed at his treatment by the Score. He's lost his status at the station. He's falling fast and hard. I think he's also pissed that Bernstein doesn't champion his cause like Mac has done for Finfer.

Yeah, he has been more argumentative with Bernsy lately. It was a good one. I like how yesterday they were jocking Cutler, earlier in the show they were blaming the Offensive line. Then the fight with Drinky they blame Cutler. I did miss about 2 hours in between though.

Bernstein was the anti-Bernstein on this today. I haven't listened consistently in a long time, but it seemed like he was arguing with the Bernstein I am accustomed to (though much dumber, and more Italian).

Notice how I separated "dumber" and "Italian". This means that they are completely exclusive descriptions.

Count this as one of the rare times I was amused by a Beardown post.

Somebody catalogue this shit.

Well, Finfer is a complete Mac ball licker. He's three feet up his ass. Drinky would never lower himself to kiss the Stein's ass so why would Dan go to bat for him? You have to suck up to someone to advance in radio if you have no superstar talent. While I like Matt, I don't see him as a ground breaking radio talent in this city. It seems to me from what I have heard over the years is Matt views Boers as his radio mentor. And what can Boers do for you? Teach you how to be a sycophant to a jackass partner? He probably could do something if someone lit a fire under his ass. But Boers has checked out and has been mailing it in for years. Matt need himself a patron. Fucking Larry has more pull at the station through Mitch. You don't see Holmes doing Scoreboard updates.

True. Drinky is way too proud to kiss anybody's ass for advancement. Still, he's gone the complete opposite. His main purpose now-a-days is to go on the air to put Bernstein down. Bernstein takes it with a smile. It's like a kid messing with a parent and the parent just ignores it. It makes for some stupid radio, however.

Although Bernstein isn't the type to go to bat for anybody even if you did kiss his ass. Bernstein only cares about his own interests in this radio game. There's nothing wrong with that, by the way. Larry still kisses Bernstein's ass thinking it will help him get Terry's seat eventually. Larry has no shame and he does it cuz he figures it could only help and couldn't hurt. If Rozner or Rosie get it, Larry would be crushed.

Goff plays it in the middle. He shows Bernstein the proper amount of respect while still messing with him. But it's never mean with Goff like it is with Drinky. Goff fears Bernstein more than drinky. Goff thinks he can get Terry's seat so he's not gonna do what drinky does. Drinky doesn't think he has a shot so he has an "I don't give a fuck" attitude.

Bump, Drinky is going at them again. For the past 5 minutes or so. In regards to Cutler being a jerk.
