They should just drop all these guys on an island with a Red Flag. The guy who captures the most red flags wins.

Right?

I love Bruce Lee but did he ever win a competition? Chuck Norris was a 4 time World Karate Champ.

Bruce didn't win competitions, he won real life knock down fights. Karate compositions are still a controlled fight. There are things you can and can not do,Like UFC now. Back when UFC first started it was a free for all brawl with only 3 basic rules. No groin shots,no fishhooks and no eye gouging. If you go back and look at those early ones UFC was a totally different type of fight. The brawlers and pure what they now call strikers where in the majority. People like Butterbean,Ken Shamrock and the likes where dominate. They would not be as dominate now because the rules have changed to favor the grapplers, this was done when the Gracies owned and ran UFc to make themselves the top dogs in the organization. There is not better example of the shift than the first superfight between Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie. Ken Rode him basically the entire fight. He landed all the punches and was resorted to headbutting because all Royce did was use his Ge to hold Ken tight.
Every time they broke and made the assume the upright Ken would get in one or two strikes, Gracie would take him down,Ken would reverse and headbutt Gracie into submission. End of fight Ken was a little battered because of all the headbutts but Gracies left eye was closed and he was bleeding. End result a tie. This was one of the reasons they soon outlawed Ges from being allowed in the ring. A lot of people where pissed off at the end result of the fight.

I am of the opinion that nobody could ever defeat Bruce Lee.

Okay, here's a good story for you guys. You know this guy Fred Degerberg who has some karate schools around the Chicago area? I think there's one in Lincoln Square and one may be in Master Choi's old spot on Foster and Elston. I guess this guy was a badass in his day. He even played a bad guy in some old karate flicks, they kind we used to ditch school to watch at the State/Lake and Oriental. Fred was like a real life John Creese. A real douchebag.

So anyway, Degerberg used to be one of my dad's customers at his bank. I guess he was always bouncing checks and shit. Eventually my old man got tired of it and locked down his account. So one day Fred came in and the teller wouldn't let him do his transactions and he started going nuts on her. Now, my father was a little guy, but I guess after being shot at by Nazis you probably aren't scared of too much. So my dad walked over and told Degerberg that he couldn't talk to his people that way and asked him to leave. Well, Degerberg snapped into a stance right there on the floor of the bank. My dad just looked at him and said, "What, Fred? Are you going to do karate on me?"

And then your dad whipped out a steak from his pants and beat Fred to death.

 You're confusing my father and my stepfather, Peeps. My old man is rolling over in his grave right now.

My dad was the most honest guy in the whole world. If there was a $10 bill on the ground he wouldn't pick it up because it wasn't his. I can remember him telling me, "That might belong to anyone. The only guy I'm sure it doesn't belong to is me."

My stepfather was the exact opposite. A professional thief. I guess my mom had eclectic tastes.
