i don't think anyone thinks noah sucks..but he is not that great...he gets great looks at the basket on this team and struggles to score ten a game....he is what he is...9 ppg/10 boards...good passer ..runs the floor well..lots of energy and tries gard on defense..but gets pushed around by the better centers in the league when it counts.taj gibson is much better..taj is a starter on any other team in the league and 18-9 guy night in and out when he gets that starters role.

Hes closer to 11/11 than 9/10. He does more than "try hard" on defense. He's one of the best defensive centers in the league and Dwight is really the only one that pushes him around. And even then, Noah is one of the best defenders of Dwight in the league. Many people have argued in this thread that he is not a good player. He is. He's a really good player that was an excellent draft pick at 9, considering that spot came down to Spencer Hawes or Noah. People seem to forget that.

I would have Taj's children, but he will never average 18 & 9. C'mon man, that's crazy talk. He would be lucky to average 10 PPG. He's good and an extremely valuable asset to this team, but he's not a scorer, and never will be.

i want to see more taj in with rose when rose is healthy...go smaller but much better offensively and taj may give up a couple inches on noah but he rebounds just as well and is no slouch on defense... taj is a scorer now with the scrubs..what do you think he would do with the A team....remember when noah was hurt for a long stretch...thomas and taj picked up the slack..the team did not stumble at all.

That's a fair comparison. But Haslem is better offensively.

Overall he is more polished in almost every area than Taj. I mean like '06 Haslem.

I'm just glad Taj isn't the next Kevin Love.

that's an apt comparison, except Haslem has the free throw line extended j and Taj seems to like the corners...

Taj is 26.

He strikes me as something like a Horace Grant. Good all around player, better than average defender but he's never going to break a man down 1 on 1.

Horace was a very productive player. I could see him being that level of player with the right time on the floor

You really had to dig deep to bump this thread. His play has improved tremendously this season. But I think it should also be added that he was playing against the 76ers who are weak at center.

At the time of the thread he was playing terrible. You also have to think that some of his numbers are a little inflated without Rose on the court. Does he really touch the ball as much with Derrick on the floor in terms of shots and assists? Are there as many offensive rebounding opportunities if the ball is going in the hoop with Derrick shooting? In a small way it's like how Jeremy Lin's numbers could be so great for the Knicks without Carmello Anthony hogging the ball.

Blame yourself. Thoughts this bad, even coming from you, are memorable. Noah was good before this season also.

He wasn't an all star though. His numbers are also slightly better in assists because there is no Derrick Rose on the court and the Bulls do not have a backup center that plays regularly. He's playing roughly 6 to 8 minutes more per game than the last two seasons and shooting a lower percentage from the field this season. He's certainly a good player, but I would probably take Chris Bosh for him in a trade straight up.

You're not telling me anything I don't already know. I wouldn't take Bosh for him.

Nice title change though.

If you're so smart then you should write a book. There's no sense wasting your wisdom on message board politics.

That wasn't me bragging. All you did was post numbers from his season stat averages. As usual, you gave no real insight, and now that Noah is playing at clearly an All Star level you're trying to play both sides of the fence.

He's the first player to put up at least 40 points, 30 rebounds, and 15 blocked shots over any two-game span since Shaquille O'Neal in November 1993. Noah has also made 18 of 25 field-goal attempts (72%) over these two contests, easily the best two-game percentage ever posted by a player who also put up 40/30/15 points/rebounds/blocks. The only others with spans over 60% are O'Neal, David Robinson (three times) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
