I am playing as a Siren and genuinely enjoying the game. They didn't change too much... simply improved a few things since the last game. Dialogue made me laugh a couple times... I can imagine the writers sitting in a bar coming up with these lines. I'm not seeing a great core story here, but I frankly don't think that is why most people play this type of game anyway. Matchmaking interface is much improved. And the graphics/art style is just as beautiful as ever.

I want to buy this game as I'm already bored with Madden but I'm kind of on the fence about it. I'm not really the biggest fan of the cartoonish look to the game I guess.

CL4P TR4P might be the best robot in the history of pop culture. Certainly the funniest... although Portal fans might disagree.

By the way, I was wrong on the Co-op. If you drop in on someone's game (co-op) and finish a mission, you actually keep everything you get. And when you get to that part in the game in your single-player play through, you have the option to skip that mission. It actually works pretty well.

One of the most amazing intro's in gaming history was Borderlands 1... I loved that Cage the Elephant Song "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked". While the song in BL2 wasn't on par, the intro was pretty funny with the train sequence.

I might start over as Siren. Her phaselock seems more interesting than Zero's body double.

The game is pretty tough. I already died a handful of times and got my ass kicked the first time I fought Flynn. Just got a sniper rifle and the recoil is pretty dramatic. Also, it moves really slow when in zoom mode and trying to go from target to target. This is probably because I lowered the movement speed of the X and Y axis in the control options so I don't get nauseus while playing the game.

BL2 isn't tough... Dark Souls is tough... I will GIVE you that game. I can't even sell it. I didn't last 30 minutes in that game before I threw the controller at the wall.

Ah...Xbox gamers... :)

Ah Non-sequiturs.

Don Tiny,
I was seconds away from joinging your game (hope you didn't mind), but I had two friends jump into my game, so we just rolled with that. We'll frag some skags sometime?

Switched to the Siren and am now level 11. So far this game is amazing. I love the little improvements they've made, especially with the guns. They are so cool to look at and fire now, they really put a lot of effort into the designs.

Only gripe I have so far is that I haven't seen a single corrosive or shock weapon. I would sayt 90% of the elemental weapons I've found are fire based and the other 10% explode. I like the fire, but I'm in this one mission where most of the enemies are immune to fire so I'm basically using only an exploding pistol the whole level.

I also fucked up the Eridium stuff before I realized what it is. I bought extra space at the bank thinking it was extra space in my backpack so I wasted 4 eridium that could've been used to increase my ammo for one of my weapons :(

shakes... I did the same thing with the Iridium. They don't really do a good job explaining that in the beginning. I just got a decent "Shock" weapon at Level 12. Its a shock submachine gun... not my fav weapon, but you gotta carry one of those to take down someone with a shield quick. I haven't got a corrosive gun yet (or at least a decent one). Believe it or not I got a nice simple pistol that I like using. Accurate, quick fire rate, fast reload, and I've loaded up the clip space with the Iridium purchases, so can be pretty deadly. The Siren's phaselock is a great "get out of jail free" card when someone rushes you.

Co-op has been a blast. I've been playing with a variety of friends, so I must have played the "Firehawk" mission about 4 times now. Still is a ton of fun.

I'm guessing it must be a programming decision to all but squash one's chances of getting corrosive weapons until the area of level 15 or so .... got a grenade mod and a weapon (I think sniper ... nice) right about there last night. Re-started to Assassin the other day, and that's where I was last night. Originally a Gunzerker, and he's at about the same level I'm at with the new character, and I don't think for the 'zerker I have anything corrosive (my friend might have given me something at one point, but I hadn't found one on my own).

This probably belongs in the 'common knowledge' area, but on those robots (GUN leaders, EMP leaders, etc) I had a pistol that delivered explosion damage and that's the ONLY thing that did any good damage to them. Not shock, but explosion. Strange. Anyway, point is, if you didn't happen to know, the robots can't wait to die if you use explosion weaponry.

so where is everyone in the game? I'm a level 15 siren, just finally finished the rescue Rolland mission. Still haven't found a corrosive weapon. Game is awesome, wish I had more time to play it other than an hour here or an hour there. Hopefully this weekend I can really get into it with the weather sucking.

That's funny. Where have you put your skill points, would be interested to see if we are going down similar or different paths in that regard. I'll post mine when I get home later.

I have been getting my ass completely kicked by this game from about level 15-18. Dying at least 5 times on every mission. It felt like I was firing pea shooters at those robots trying to take them down with level 12-15 guns. Then, finally at level 19 I stumbled upon some kick ass corrosive level 19 guns and all of the sudden I'm kicking the crap out of those loader robots. Just completed the mission where you have to protect the beacon while angel tries to build you a fast travel staion and there's about 1000 robots trying to kick your ass. That was intense.

I have a lv 21 Gunzerker, 30 Assassin, low-level Siren (7 maybe) and my 27 Commando .... finally decided to see things through with the commando because of that delightful turret. Ultimately, I suppose I'll enjoy the Assassin most because his criticals seem to have the potential to reach preposterous heights, and I love me some sniping.

Don,
I always see you online, but I feel bad just jumping in your game. I'm not sure we ever gamed together. Let me know if me and my L16 Siren can crash your party.

Mechromancer is out today.

MUD ... you can always send me a message if and when you like ... I could make sure we're somewhere near reasonable characters, etc. ... or I could tell you to slag off, too!

The game really opens up around level 19. For most of the game it was pretty linear in terms of missions, but now all of the sudden I have about 12 missions to choose from. First time through I do them all so this might take a while which is fine by me.

ANy of you guys gonna pay the $10 for the downloadable content that came out this week? I guess it gives you better loot, but also access to a totally new character that hasn't been released. Is this part of the season pass or is that something different?

I think that is something different. Season pass just gives you a 4 for 3 deal with the DLC mission packs.

Did anyone have a problem d/l'ing the mechromancer? I didn't happen to, but my brother did ... apparently others had a similar problem ... which looked something like this:
