In this case, it looks like it is the QB's fault. Joey Harrington was sacked 15 times in 11 games behind that same o-line.

And did YOU watch all 4 of his games last year? I'm starting to suspect that you don't watch sports, that you just rely on stats to make your points. It's like you're one of those guys on one of the Matrix ships that stares at the screens of green codes all day. You do that, and make babies.

I only saw the game against the Steelers. Everything else I got from watching NFL tv. When does getting sacked make you a bad quarterback? It was obvious he wasn't as mobile as he normally is because he came back too early from a knee injury(was supposed to come back week 8)but he wasn't bad throwing the ball.

I probably watch too much sports. I use stats to back up my argument when one of you guys are just saying shit off the top of your head. You watch Sports Center a couple of times and see a couple bad highlights and that tells you all you need to know.

Getting sacked 5 times a game makes you a bad quarterback because that is 5 drives a game that are killed because you don't get rid of the ball. Granted, not all of those are his fault, but at least two or three probably are.

I probably watch too much sports, too. I don't think you're in the minority on this board (at least, not for watching an abnormal amount of sports  ) I don't think that saying that Daunte is a bad QB is "saying shit off the top of my head" just because I watched sports center a few times. You can look at his stats and come to that conclusion. But, you can make the stats say whatever you want. You can look at his completion percentage and say he isn't so bad, or you can look at his TD/INT ratio over the last years and say he's awful.

When you're taking too long to throw the ball.

Have you tried the quote fix, Ryan?

Not until now. NSJ, you are a gentleman and a scholar.

That's my point. If you dig deep enough, you can make the stats say whatever you want. You can put together all kinds of data to show REX as a pro-bowl QB last year if you use one of your favorites "if you throw out xxx games, these were his numbers". Or, you can make him look like the worst QB in the league.
I'm not saying that no team should take a flyer on him once he gets released. Personally, I don't think he's a better option for the Bears than what they have already.

I'm just looking at the 4 games from last year and none of them were any good. They were 1-3 against 4 shitty teams. He was sacked 21 times in 4 games. Just because he has a decent QB rating in certain games doesn't mean that he played well. Granted, I didn't watch a lot of Miami last year, but all I remember is how every analyst said he was playing terrible.

Well I won't let your eyes get in the way of you making a point. Getting sacked is usually not the quarterbacks fault. After the 1st game of the season he had a QB rating of at least 83.5 in the next 3 and only had 1 interception. He still had a high completion percentage.

Ever hear of a QB holding the ball too long, and not being decisive ? It's not always the QB fault, but it's not always the OL either.
