See what happens when you don't intentionally walk guys? Good things. Like strikeouts. Ventura should consider that the next time he decides to intentionally walk one of the worst hitters in baseball like Jeff Francoeur to get to Eric Hosmer.

I'd be really interested to see a stat called "Manager Insinuations" which would track the times the manager inserted himself into the game and the results of said insertion. For example, when a sacrifice is ordered, how did that turn out or what took place after that or when an intentional pass is issued, what the ultimate result was. I strongly suspect the overall effect of such insinuations is overwhelmingly negative.
