Hopefully they can stay healthy. Lot of age in that unit.

IN a weird way I'm glad it's our D looking good and our O struggling so far because I am more confident our O will start doing better than I would because of their ages the D.

The marquee names are older, but there is a good amount of young talent on that defense; McClellan, Paea, Jennings (who has so far been the best corner in the NFL), Conte, etc.

I told you guys the Defense would be just fine. I thought the offense would be much better though. The Bears had 10 days to prepare for the Rams & this is the best they could do?
Hopefully they wont shart themselves next Monday night in Dallas.

Yes, they do. One thing that does seem to be panning out (this far) is the DT play. When that cover 2 has good D tackle play, it does make the whole D look a hell of a lot better. I hope it continues.

If the Bears offense gets their shit together they are going to be very tough to beat. After the fireworks in week 1, the offense has been the same old Bears offense. The WR's & Jay just aren't clicking yet & the OL was bad in the first half but improved as the game went on. It is frustrating that Jay makes the difficult throws but his accuracy on the routine throws to open receivers is off.
Urlacher has certainly slowed down & has lost a step, but he still puts himself in the right place at the right time to make plays.

Yeah, you've got it here... it really makes that scheme work. Not that they play all cover 2, but they can blitz and such and know they aren't wasting the guys because the front is actually engaging the OL. I think as long as they keep the attack semi-random, they'll continue to do well on D, and they should be able to ride the D to a winning record.
