That was almost a disaster. I just don't understand how some of these pitchers are so awful at picking up a ball and throwing it to a base.

He hasn't been great but he certainly hasn't been as shitty as Thornton. Thornton has been good lately but he's proven time and time again he can't close out a game and Donnie Veal is a minor league guy who has dominated lefties but it's different in every at-bat is huge baseball.
