I personally have seen quite a bit of it the other way. Most Cubs fans I know don't give two shits about the Sox, win or lose.

Basically the way this board works w/r/t the crosstown baseball dynamic is that the dickhole triumvirate of Frank, Dolphin, and Rick are allowed to troll Cubs fans relentlessly, but as soon as anyone starts giving it back, the Sox fans cry "BUT YOU GUYS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ABOVE IT AND NOT EVEN CA-ARE!!!" I'm above no one.

Some funny trolling is fine in my book. I know what those guys are up to and I dont pay serious attention to it.

I'm thinking back to some of the bad beats I have had to watch the Cubs endure and if either of those three were actively rooting against the Cubs in a game thread I would be royally pissed off.

I guess I don't make any sort of distinction or value judgment between "I pity you for being a Cubs fan" and "I'm glad your team lost." Maybe if you stopped taking time to pity me, I wouldn't be so glad your team lost.
