That was the solution. Mayor Daley knocked down the projects in the city and moved many of the residents out to Section 8 housing in the suburbs.

Evergreen Terrace needs to go away. I don't care how many people are displaced. Think of Geneva with a housing project right there in the downtown river area. That is what you have on the west side of the river in Joliet. Level the whole damn thing.

I don't want the residents to move en masse to The Hill. I want those moms and kids to be able to raise their children in a safe and wholesome environment. The projects in Joliet is not that place.

I would rather go to Daley Center, Bridgeview...anywhere but Joliet. the no cell phone thing is ridiculous for one...then its like a herd of cattle trying to get to an elevator and lastly, every time i have been there the judge is at least 15-20 minutes late.

and really, unless you have to go to court, there's no reason to be in Joliet whatsoever. it pretty much exists for that reason. and the casino, i guess
