Now it's just clips of Ed Farmer mumbling over instrumentals of "Over" by Drake or "You Be Killin' Em" by Fabolous. Sox are all but done, and maybe Dan will follow his so-tortured-it-was-waterboarded metaphor of "the White Sox are like the time I had to get my braces tightened after I was unsure how I did on an algebra test" with something else that obliquely has to do with growing up in Deerfield but doesn't really make a great deal of sense. Conjecture: "this year's White Sox were like the one time I went to that sporting goods store at Dundee and Pfingsten that's not in business anymore and it was raining out: you see, because it was like trying to think about baseball while at the same time having that sort of subliminal low-level dread and indeterminate existential despair that you get when it's raining out."

Anyway they're going to talk a lot BOUT THEM COWBOYS HEH HEH because that is who the Bears are playing tonight. Perhaps they will talk to someone from a Dallas paper or station, who despite being from Texas and thus stupid, will be Northianly labeled "one 'a da good ones." Plus talk from Matt Bowen? Most likely!

Should be a great show today!

I have a feeling that a lot of the talk today will prepare everyone for the Bears/Cowboys' game on "Monday Night Football" more so than the White Sox/Indians' game in likely a half empty (Not So) Progressive Field in Cleveland. There...I said it!

The guys are nipped the next 3 days for White Sox/Indians, but instead of following the slumping Sox in Cleveland, The SCORE's David Schuster has followed the Bears down to the "House that Jerry (Jones) Built" down in Arlington, TX. He & Zach Zaidman will have live reports in the second half of this program.

As for Matt Bowen's breakdown, that comes tomorrow, along with The SCORE/Pro Football Weekly/Dial Global Sports' Hub Arkush on a special "State Farm Bears' Tuesday". I don't know if either team will be "in a Better State" 24 hours from now...

CH should compose the daily B&B threads going forward. Nice work. Take a few weeks off, SHARK.

It didn't look good until ESPNChicago.com's Nick Friedell reported last month that talks had resumed on an extension for Thibodeau after talks stalled over the summer. GM Gar Forman had no doubt that Thibs would be here for the long term, and now they have their coach for quite sometime.

Apparently Dan is blaming people not going to Bridgeport on...being afraid of Englewood, apparently. This would be great, except that Sox games are mostly attended by Sox fans, and Sox fans will jump down your throat at the mere suggestion that going to a game on the Supposedly Scary South Side is anything but safe, inasmuch as Comiskey is basically a fortress of sorts. Some will even massage crime data to tell you that statistically speaking, Lake View is a more dangerous neighborhood. And besides, Bridgeport isn't even near the really bad parts of the South Side where people are shooting each other. Bridgeport itself is just cranky old Irish/Italians.

Even though Dan smartly inoculated himself from criticism by saying that it was other people's fallacious reasoning and not his own, it was still dumb to bring it up.

Those guys go until 5A Tuesday.
