I'm trying to remember when I went to my first White Sox game. I wasn't 21, that's for sure...

Haha, this meathead. The Hawks and Bulls sell out every game, dude, and the Hawks' sellouts are well above 19k. They led the NHL in attendance.

Sure, he could be considered a "bust" because he was drafted to be a franchise left tackle. Instead, he's a starting right tackle on a damn good offense.

I don't remember which team, but remember the one that didn't move for a good 5-6 seconds after the ball was snapped? He just sat in his crouched position on the line. Was it the Eagles?

For no real reason, I thought I'd share a thought that just went thru my head (don't worry) .... if Buffone and I did had a show, it'd be 'Doug & Obese'.

phone lines busy. Apparently filled up with people who cannot make a cogent point.

Wait a second. Even though the Bulls have been among the NBA leaders in attendance since United Center opened in 1994, I think there was a game before Derrick Rose's arrival that they didn't sell out.

Okay, maybe. They've been selling out--and surely leading the NBA, as well--for a couple years now. What's your point?

Are we going to use the South Side Red Line shutdown as an excuse for not going to games next year, even though I've been told repeatedly by Sox fans here that no one takes the L to games.

This is not about antisemitism. The most reviled cheap owner in Chicago history, the guy whose pejorative nickname was "Dollar," was a gentile. Some of the most beloved spendthrifts, like one Mark Cuban, are Jewish. So take the horned-jew caricatures you're trying to stick in our hands, and shove it.

This is the dumbest thing I have read on the board today, and actually in quite some time here.

So you agree with Jason that Jerry Reinsdorf is a victim of antisemitism and that's why Sox attendance is bad.

I was focusing on the free ballpark part of that second sentence. No one ever cogently made the point to Bernsie that the Cubs should be pushing for the exact same deal the Sox get.

No. Goff is usually an unfocused idiot. Today is no exception.

I think the statement that the Bulls have been run into the ground is inaccurate to the point that stupid is really the only adjective I could think of.

I don't know if the White Sox & CTA have made contingency plans once the Red Line is shutdown within walking distance of U.S. Cellular Field. In recent years, that was one of the ways I had attended ballgames and didn't experience any issues with safety.

Don't remember NFL, but Florida State lineman are taught not to move when they draw defense offsides. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgpPGfj1_sM

Well, I know you're an apologist for the organization. I maintain that the stewardship of the team has been less than exemplary since the dynasty ended. We'll agree to disagree, I guess.

Good thing the Green Line is still operational for SHARK and niece to attend next year.

I think Red Line trains are being rerouted from the Dan Ryan median to the Green Line's track, insofar as they can be, so you would just get off at IIT-35th instead of Sox-35th and walk an extra two blocks. Or you could just take the Red Line to Roosevelt and switch to the Green Line there.

yeah, they haven't run it into the ground. they're just not a destination point for free agents like they had planned. It was a lazy move to sign boozer but that's the GM's fault.

It's my understanding that the Red Line starts & finishes at Cermak, I believe in Chinatown, to accommodate repairs starting next spring.

This is the dumbest thing I have read on the board today, and actually in quite some time here.

So you agree with Jason that Jerry Reinsdorf is a victim of antisemitism and that's why Sox attendance is bad.

No. Goff is usually an unfocused idiot. Today is no exception.

I think the statement that the Bulls have been run into the ground is inaccurate to the point that stupid is really the only adjective I could think of.

Well, I know you're an apologist for the organization. I maintain that the stewardship of the team has been less than exemplary since the dynasty ended. We'll agree to disagree, I guess.

Im not being an apologist. By any criteria you prefer to base it on, saying the Bulls have been run into the ground is just ridiculously uninformed hyperbolic garbage. They have one of the best players and coaches in the league. They constantly sell out, which you've already pointed out. There's nothing wrong with their facilities. Since Rose came to the team they have consistently been among the league leaders in national tv appearances. There's really nothing to support the notion that the Bulls have been anything other than a great organization. They made some bad high draft picks from 99-03. That's really about it. Every team except the Lakers goes through those ups and downs. The whole "Bulls can't sign a free agent" cries are complete nonsense, perpetuated solely because the last two big names they got(Boozer and Wallace) have sucked comparative to their salaries.

yeah, they haven't run it into the ground. they're just not a destination point for free agents like they had planned. It was a lazy move to sign boozer but that's the GM's fault.

Boston fans also complain that their team never signs any big free agents. I guess they've been run into the ground also.

Why is Terry so bothered by the Bears game being played at 3:30 on Sunday??? Is it past his bedtime or something?
