I listen to him in the evenings so I don't hate him. But a full time real sports slot not bothered or preempted all the time would seem better to me. I wouldn't stand to be made to do that silly 25 minute thing between B&B and the Sox pre-game but that is just me. I guess I don't have Goff's details either so who knows.

Why is that the general consensus? you guys dont think that he had enough of a tryout over the years to attempt to impress his bosses enough to warrant a full time gig here? how about that maybe he's just not that good at this and he already has hit his ceiling which isnt very high? Good luck in Atlanta just dont pair up with Ray Lewis at a strip club down there or you may have some xplainin' to do.

So Atlanta will now have 3 sports yakkers. Curious to see how things will shake out. If Atlanta can support 3 then Chicago for sure support a 3rd. Especially since the current two are in a slow decline and need a kick in the ass.

Well, congratulations to Jason. I wonder how well Atlanta sports fandom accepts outsiders. I suppose they kind of have to, don't they? I'm also interested in how his brand of racially-fixated sports talk will carry over to Atlanta, where the dynamic isn't quite the same as it is here. "Brothers" and the things they do and don't do aren't really an abstraction in the South, you know?

It's a move he wanted to make. He has his own show now. There are currently no teams the station cover, although that may change. When an opening happens here in Chicago, Goff will have the experience to say he hosted his own 5 day a week show. Good luck to him and I will be contributing to his show.

Atlanta is a city full of outsiders. Lots & lots of Northerners down there.
Taking a job with a new upstart radio station certainly has some risk, not to mention having to talk about the Falcons, Braves, & Hawks in a lousy sports city. I hope it works out. Jason was my favorite Score guy & I'll miss him
