And AC/DC and Slayer are distinguishable from guilty pleasure, burrito music how, exactly?

Uh, OK. You categorize AC/DC and Slayer as a lot of things, but Burrito would not be one of them.

Just do it, you won't regret it.
Make it one of those combined gifts when people ask what to get you.

If you can't swing that, my 8year old just bought himself a 200 song MP3 player for $30. I'll tell you where we live. You can push him off his bike and take it away from him.

I agree the iPod is a great buy and i would suggest getting one of the larger ones not the nano because you can only fit about 160 songs on it.

Their music is so over-the-top that it seems clear it's designed to do nothing other than repress homosexual urges.

Gee, I always thought it was just designed to be cool guitar riffs. Guys wearing jeans and t-shirts (less Angus) with loud guitars and screaming is so obviously burrito. I dont' know how I missed that. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Look into the work of Pansy Division. They're a little less gay than some of your current favorites.

While the end result was worth it...Kenny G is the musical Anti-Christ. Bleh!!!

However, I have a guilty musical pleasure. I liked Frankie Goes To Hollywood as a teen. I'm not proud of that...and certainly don't have anything romantic or noble like taking my future wife to a concert of theirs!

I think even the Indigo Girls themselves would respond to this by saying "Wow, that's f'n gay".

It makes me sad that one of the wussiest "bands" on the planet has appropriated a penalty in hockey reserved for badasses as its name.

Like the Dillinger Escape Plan once said, "Irony is a dead scene".

While I'm not a HUGE fan of Neko Case's solo work, I love her voice as part of the New Pornographers.

As far as Lucinda Williams goes, I consider Happy Woman Blues, Lucinda Williams, and Car Wheels on a Gravel Road to be country/country-blues masterpieces.

Have you ever checked out Iris DeMent's first CD, Infamous Angel? That's a remarkable old-time country-folk CD whose magic Iris hasn't been able to duplicate in subsequent efforts. You might also be interested in Kate Bush's "best of" collection, The Indescribable Wow, although her music is something different altogether.
