I heard that yesterday....I don't have an issue if they are not looking to move Hinrich, but to call him 'untradeable' is way over-doing it.

I've been hearing some reports that the Bulls are looking to move Duhon and next year's #1 to a team like ATL at #11, though I have a hard time making that trade if I'm ATL. The Bulls are going to trade Duhon sometime this off-season, though if it's for a draft pick, I would be surprised if they can get anything more a late 1st rounder, and even that, might be a reach. The guy is a backup player.

I agree. I don't understand the whole "Kirk's untouchable" thing either. I would have to listen to anything reasonable if I were Pax. The Bull desperately need someone creative around the basket to take the pressure off the outside game. Randolph has great low post moves and I don't see anyone on the current roster who has that ability, or even has the potential, to develop a low post game.

Must have been Kirks clutch performance in game 1 and 5 that made him untouchable.

All those shots that hit the iron, enabled B.Wallace to increase his offensive rebounds. Without Kirk he would look even more like an overpaid, underachiever.

Pax needs to loosen up on his love for "his guys". You can't always be a nice guy and get the job done as a GM. He has had alot of draft picks since he has been Bulls GM and has not moved any of them to improve the team. If he is going to take this team to the next level, he needs to pick a core and move the rest for veterans.

It's been pointed out here before, but we'd have to match salaries to Randolph, and Nocioni would have to be part of that trade (If Hinrich is untouchable), but he's a restricted free agent, so he'd have to agree to that....we'd then have to put in Duhon, Victor K, and the #9 pick. Basically, I'd be surprised if they were able to work that one out.

Paxson has made some excellent picks, but he may have to make a move for big man, involving one his top 3 players, if they are ever going to advance in the playoffs beyond their current point.

I wouldn’t trade Hinrich for Randolph, either. It doesn’t matter much anyway, it’s not going to happen. We don’t have the contracts to strike a deal, and I highly doubt Pax is going to jeopardize his cap window in 2010 over a potential malcontent.

It’s a long offseason, and unless Pax finds a great package for Duhon and/or Viktor plus the pick, he won’t do anything risky until, at minimum, he sees who’s on the board at #9. If Brandan Wright, Corey Brewer, and Mike Conley are taken ahead of the Bulls (which isn’t all that farfetched), then we are guaranteed one of the following big men: Yi Jianlian, Al Horford, Spencer Hawes, Joakim Noah. Any one of those 4 is a far better investment than what you’d land with the MLE.

If they deal Kirk, who will Chevy get to stutter their way thru their commercials?

Spencer Hawes will definitely be there...Horford will be gone, and I think Yi Jianlian will be as well..

I would not be shocked to see at least two of them at #9, as I think someone is going to fall in love with Al Thornton as well.

shit i guess nobody saw some of his playoff games. this little guy is shaping up to be the next steve nash and you want to trade him? go watch football or something you have no clue about the nba. look up kirk's stats they KILL nash's in his early years

I like Hinrich, but I don't think he's the same kind of point guard as Nash. Do you think he'll have a better career than Nash because his numbers are better at this stage ?

i think because his numbers are better and because kirk's killer instinct is higher then nash's. nash never believed he would be mvp until the year he won it. kirk expects to be the top defensive point guard in the league already, and he does have natural offensive skills too. it seemed to me that kirk had a really bad year relative to what he can do, his numbers this year weren't bad but he was not as much of an impact on court as he was the previous two years. that might be because the team around him is getting better, but i simply saw too many opened missed shots and ticky-tack fouls called on him to really use this year as a calibration for what he will do in the next few years to come. the problem for the bulls is they probably cant wait for kirk to 'late-bloom' like nash did, so if thats what ends up happening to kirk i dont think he will do it in a bull uniform. i suppose im saying that i believe someday kirk is going to much better player i just dont know if it will be sooner or later. and when i say 'much better' i mean a great deal better then the 'pretty damn good' that he is now.

Kirk's a pud. Get rid of him.

Kirk stinks. He's the best brick layer in all the NBA. I really hope that he isn't "untouchable". If Pax can get a good deal then I sure hope he pulls th trigger on Kirk.
