This injury is taking the heat off of Arod.

It'll put more pressure on him now.

I doubt they have the balls to put him at SS.

Would be kinda cool to see...I wonder if he will offer that to Girardi.

Girardi already said no.

Not prudent. It's been since 2003 since he was a SS.

Would be a trip though.

Couldn't happen to a bigger asshat. That guy belongs in a nuthouse, not the clubhouse.

Believe me, anytime he was on the mound against the WSox, I was all but a (albeit very temporary) flag-waving southsider.

Somebody needs to console StoneRoses. I echo the sentiments, hate to see Jeter go down. Helluva player.

Alexander Emmanuel Rodriguez will carry this team and be named World Series MVP as the Yankees win this one for Derek Sanderson Jeter.

Jeter doing down can only improve the infield defense.

JOrr, is Valverde clutch?

I thought this was because the ticket prices were absurdly through the roof.

R.I.P. Derek Jeter.

I respect you for always being an upstanding human being and never having yourself depicted in a painting as a centaur.

Wow, lots of "tired" players on the Yankees: Cano, A Roid, Swisher, etc.

Cano is.

Robinson Cano is now 0 for his last 26. According to Elias, that is the longest hitless streak ever in a single postseason.

Welcome to the real world of post steriod baseball for guys in their late 30's. The Yankees owe him another 114M in salary through 2017.

The days of Barry Bonds raking at record levels at age 40+ are long gone.

I'm guessing he can be had without giving up anything of much value and with the Yankees eating a bunch of salary. Even then, I'm not sure it would be a good move. I can't really see A-Rod in New York next season after this. I would think the Reds and White Sox might be likely landing spots.

You know damn well A Roid won't be retiring in disgrace anytime soon given the cash on the table. I would agree he will be very much available at a cost of maybe 10 cents on the dollar.

He is still serviceable as a decent 3B if you expect .260 20 HRS 75 RBI's.
