CLEANING UP SPORTING EVENTS THE DAN BERNSTEIN WAY
1. Say to jack up the prices so poor people can't afford to go.
2. Use radio show as platform for complaining that nobody goes to certain local games.
3. Use radio show to tell people who can't afford to go that no one is making them go.
4. Continue using radio show to make people go.
5. Uh oh, someone puked in a parking lot! Say to jack up the prices again.
And so on.

Extrapolating beyond ticket sales, as the cost of groceries, gasoline, and pretty much everything has gone up, can we assume that the fat and tattooed have been priced out of mere existence? or at least made to move west of Elburn? If it's too expensive to live somewhere, go live somewhere else. Somewhere where you're...not near anything and have to drive really far.

Let's hope this was just a one-day flight of fancy that will be completely irrelevant to today's program! There is, of course, that chance that it comes up again, something that will truly put the "eek" in "bye week."

CH has found a new hobby with the NHL season on "ice". I like the way this is going. High quality work!

Aside from Bears tix, which are driven by demand, do you really have anything to cry about? Bulls pregame tix are $4.50 on Stubhub and Sox and Cubs tix could regularly be obtained for $12 a seat....

What a clusterfuck of contradictions. I probably would think it was hyperbolic if I hadnt actually heard it myself yesterday.

And if it's too dangerous to live in Englewood, just move somewhere nice!

Jacking up the prices worked out really well in the Bronx. The ALCS has been about as well attended as an April White Sox game.

Apologies...I blindly ran into that post.....but not gonna lie, love they shipped out the cabrini scum to the burbs! no reason those people should have lived in that area, the property value way to high to waste on the poor

Here's the Tuesday Game Plan with the guys:

*3:30P: "The Second Half"
*5P: The SCORE/PFW/Dial Global Sports' Hub Arkush-Peyton Manning's Incredible 2nd Half-DEN/SD & First Look at Bears' Next Opponent: Lions on "Monday Night Football"

"Scoreboard Updates": Connor McKnight

Terry's "two favorite words", Laurence Holmes, has a "full boat show" starting @ 6P, complete with "Ask Herb" @ 9P. No, Dr. Phil isn't available... The voice of the Kane County Cougars, Wayne Randazzo, follows Holmes @ 10P. "SCORE Overnight" starring Les Grobstein & Adam Harris follows @ Midnight until 5A Wednesday morning.

Time to whip this out on the Score's host, not that there's anything wrong with that and no pun intended with by the use of whip.

"The National Science Foundation spent $30,000 to fund a study done by the University of Washington and Cornell University's to measure "gaydar" - the ability of people to identify sexual orientation merely by appearance. The researchers confirmed that "gaydar" exists, writing that participants were about 60% accurate when attempting to identify sexual orientation by appearance. "

I'll have to refer to either McKracken or Ugueth for a ruling. I believe I used it as I intended.

Keep in mind that this is the thinking man's sports talk show, a cut above those other mouth breathing fools and the content they put on the air.

Yeah I turned it on at the top of the hour and couldn't make it 20 minutes.

This is a perfect example of them being full of shit with the mantra "we don't create interest, we reflect it". Nobody gives a shit about Lance Armstrong anymore besides Dan, mofo, and like 9 French guys.

Matt Bowen would appreciate this, it appears the show is hitting all of its landmarks today.

I think we have sprayed to all fields in the first hour. CTE talk as Illini lineman retires, Lance sucks, Nike covers things up and loves people that cover up child rape. Maybe going to a game isn't as dangerous as we thought.

Good show...

Terry was able to even sneak in a Paterno/PSU reference as they played the clip of Phil Knight at Paterno's funeral. Playing all the hits...
