This sounds pretty pretentious to me;

You Cub fans certainly didn't have that attitude in 1998 when Trachsel was pitching you into the playoffs. Green is not a color that is very becoming of Cubs fans.

Plus for your information I hope the Cardinals do win the world series, simply so that the way they have won their titles (jerk off all season, masturbate into the playoffs and gladly abuse the 2-3-2/ASG homefield, and troll the MLB with rings) can be reviewed as a detriment to the sport, and the double-wild card eliminated.

What is your basis for any of this nonsense? Just personal opinion or something? Cardinals arent proving the wild card is flawed. Thats a flat-out dumb statement.

Your anger and jealousy is palpable. I'd suggest just becoming a Cardinal fan. It'll lower your blood pressure.

I would admire the Cardinals if I did not live amongst so many of those "assholes" who really believe they are the best fans in baseball, etc.

I do appreciate lipid, apologist, and redskin for saying that stuff is tired and overdone.

But in all honesty, it is a damn impressive run the last 2 years, and I know that part of my frustration with living around these folks all the time is I am envious and wish my team had such a run.

I am just getting tired of teams I hate winning. Cardinals, Packers, Heat, Kentucky... UGH

Green green green, Dewski. Do you think the Giants abused the 2-3 format this year? Texas lost a 5 game lead with 9 games left, did they get screwed? The answer to both is a resounding No. If it wasn't the Cards playing you were be pissing and moaning about Dusty Baker and his team. Nothing more than pure jealousy at this point.

So I assume you are rooting for the Tigers to win it all?

Frank is not worried about the Tigers. If they win it will be because the Cards lost it.

I wasn't even following baseball until 2000, so swing-and-a-miss on that one.

It's extremely irritating to know that as long as you are within 11 games of the wild card come August, you can dope your way into the playoffs. It's extremely irritating that wild card teams get the first two games (and in a 7g series, the last 2) at home. It's extremely irritating that Cardinals fans, in my experience, elevate themselves to a baseball pedestal anytime I mention I'm a Cubs fan. They remind me that the Cubs haven't won a world series in X years, where as the Cardinals are yata-yata champions. They tell me it's a shame that I'm a Cubs fan, and that it's too bad I wasn't a smarter kid who found better teams to root for. Then of course there's the media-driven sham that they're the best fans in baseball which to their meatball segment is validated via their success.

It's personal sometimes, yes, so if my cardinals vitriol is a bit out there, that's why.

Regarding the wild-card expansion, it's more to do with the dismissal of the regular season. If there's any sports outside of college football that values it's regular season more, it's the MLB, and yet the frequency with which wild card teams are making/winning the world series is pretty remarkable. Obviously the wild card has value and increases drama, but I never felt the addition of another wild card was ever necessary in baseball.

False. I was rooting for the Reds/Nationals/Orioles/As because I think it's about damn time the sport has some new blood, new winners. Yet we're staring down the barrel of a DET/STL series. Bleh.

THIS! I would enjoy watching a championship game that didn't involve a team that I actively loathe but no such luck. At least I won't have to watch the Red Wings hoist the Cup because there will be no hockey this year.

You do realize that is possible to hate something and not be jealous of it. I for one am glad I live in Chicago and have all of my teeth and am not married to my cousin. I could be from St. Louis and have none of those things but root for a baseball team that wins more than the Cubs.

Huh?

The last five world series have been won by five different teams. If Detroit wins this year it will be 6-6.

Since 2000, there have been 9 different teams that won the WS.

So of the 22 teams to the play in the WS since 2000, there have been 15 different teams. In other words, 50% of MLB franchises have won a pennant since 2000.

Luke Fischer? Buddy I went to IU with is from Germantown and said he can ball. Looks like he'll replace Zeller if bounces after this year.

No. If the Wild Card is flawed, it's because it is flawed. Your usage of the term "assholes" coming from one of the largest fanbase and resource franchises in the game who has yet to win in over a century is ridiculous.

p.s. If you aren't a Cub fan, I apologai.

If you are, go back to some other thread and argue about the color commenter.

Asshole Cardinals fan in action. ^ The 100 years thing, wow, that's some painful shit. My heart? It is broken. You win. Your originality is stifling, and for that I applaud you.

And it's "Commentator." Plus for your information I hope the Cardinals do win the world series, simply so that the way they have won their titles (jerk off all season, masturbate into the playoffs and gladly abuse the 2-3-2/ASG homefield, and troll the MLB with rings) can be reviewed as a detriment to the sport, and the double-wild card eliminated.

   Keep fighting the good fight. The three of us will be cacklin' and rolling blunts, if you need us. If I may quote Jason Whitlock's Twitter.

Yes, it is Fisher. I have known him for several years. He is a legit 6'11" and has a pretty good touch from 18ft and in. RFDC, I will probably give them the kiss of death, but I am fully onboard.
