I had a brief talk with Mrs. Newper on Saturday. I said, I really can't explain it, but I really don't like the Cardinals. I am a White Sox fan and on a 10 to 1 scale of Cubs love, I come in at about a 3.5. I said, I really don't know why I don't like them, but they are luckier than they are good. And they won a World Series they shouldn't have, and they get this publicity like they are so awesome, but they are just a solid team. And then I realized that deep down, I knew why I didn't like the Cardinals, I just hadn't thought it out in my head.

I think Detroit will still probably win, but I will find it much easier to root against them with San Fran as the foe than if the Cardinals were.
