Kirkwood has too big a lead right now, its not your fault. You're gonna have to put up some historic numbers in these last 60 days to pull off the upset.

Shouldn't CSFMB have a fiscal year end? Make it 2/28. That's when sports die. Having it at 12/31 feels wrong.

The Game Plan for today is coming up, but Bernsy has Bulls on his mind in the following column. He explains why the "Bulls Set Off on a Uncertain Road" in the following link, and guess what? He's right...

Wow. That one is painful.

Wasn't THAT bad. I mean, at least it doesn't fold in on itself and forget which metaphor it was making.

It's bad because you can practically hear his mind working as he writes it.

"Instead of just saying 'holding pattern,' I'll offer a pedantic explanation of exactly what a holding pattern entails, then awkwardly shoehorn in words like 'professional' and 'well-executed' in a hamfisted attempt to compare the pilot of a circling airliner to an NBA coach awaiting the return of his injured superstar."

Can anyone explain the point of this column? As best I can tell, he seems to be sayin "The Bulls arent good enough to win a title this year, and who knows if they will be good enough in a year or two, and Thibs wins too many regular season games so maybe the Bulls should get a new coach." It's rambling, nonsensical bullshit basically.

No worries Shark. But can you explain what you think Dan is right about in the column? I would agree the Bulls future is uncertain, but that wasn't the thesis of the column. The column seemed certain the Bulls weren't title contenders. So... What was the point of the column?

SHARK, we can all read that column a hundred times and none of us are going to find a point, unless "Dan likes the Bulls" is a point.

I don't think so, but Terry's "two favorite words", Laurence Holmes, hinted on his own show the other night about allergies stemming from this unusual weather we've been having lately. If you heard Laurence's show about a week ago, he had voice issues and was scratched the following night in favor of the team of Joe Ostrowski & Wayne Randazzo. In fact, Randazzo sounded like he had a cold when he did "Scoreboard Updates" during the Holmes & Ostrowski shows. It's a station-wide problem.

Got tired of the Chef asking if he could come in.

Why have I been taught not to throw around "anticipate" to mean "look forward to"?

Here's the Thursday Game Plan:

*2P: Show Announcement(?)/New Analyst(?)
*3P: "NFL on CBS" PBP/Dial Global Radio Network's Ian Eagle-Calls TB/MIN Tonight on The SCORE
*3:30P: "The Second Half"
*4P-ish: The SCORE/WBBM Newsradio/Bears Radio Network's Zach Zaidman-"3rd Down Thursday"
*5P: "Who Ya Crappin'?"-Gary from Evanston is Already Hard at Work

"Scoreboard Updates": Matt Rodewald

The aforementioned ZZ has "Bears All Access" @ 6P. He'll lead into Dial Global's national broadcast of the Buccaneers/Vikings' game with Ian Eagle, Trent Green & Rocky Boiman painting the picture from the Metrodome, a.k.a. Mall of America Field in Minneapolis. Scott Graham will "cracker" through the pre, halftime & postgame from the Dial Global Radio studios in New York. Back in Chicago, Les Grobstein & Adam Harris have the EP version of "SCORE Overnight" after the game until 5A Friday morning.

Possible mental block? Maybe for whatever reason you always associated and used the word with something scary or negative? Thusly, a positive use of the word never occurred?
