Cheapest Super Bowl ticket at face value is $800. Only way a regular person can get a face value ticket is by being a season ticket holder for one of the participating teams. Those season ticket holders are put in a lottery. For Bears season tickets holders, only 15% of them will get tickets. Otherwise, you're looking at paying $1,500 for the worst seat in the house on Stub Hub. Maybe more.

Not that interested in going to the game sitting in the cheapo seats for $1000

but on Bourbon for a couple of days for Super Bowl Hype, is a great time.

Four of us went to NOLA for Bears/Saints last year and had a blast.

I too have no interest in spending $1000 for cheap seats. BUT if Bears get in and as a STH if lucky enough to get my ping pong ball pulled then I will scalp my tickets, attend ramp-up festivities in NOLA and then find a big screen for Big Game viewing.

I have the money. I'm sure quite a few people here could swing it. I just think there are a lot wiser things to spend money on than watching the Super Bowl at a bar in New Orleans. For $2500, I could go to an all inclusive in Mexico, watch the Super Bowl on a big screen TV on the beach, and have all of my meals and booze included for the 4 or 5 days I was there.

But hey if you want spend you cash on something so foolish, you go right ahead Mr. bigfan. And when you go, I expect no less than 29 threads on your little excursion. Make sure you post about every minute detail just like you did when going to Vegas because we all fucking care so much.
