IMU gave me crap for it this past Sunday, but I tried it for the first time and enjoy it very much.

It's very good.

I recommend Angry Orchard. I like Woodchuck too, but I recently had Angry Orchard and liked it.

There was a story on NPR this morning about the rapid growth of this industry. Lot of the commercial stuff is pretty lame, kind of like the Budweiser of cider.

JK's Scrumpy is a good one: http://organicscrumpy.com/

Yep...sounds like a plan. Angry Orchard and Paisan's Pizza for the Bears game.

Angry Orchard is good stuff.

Woodchuck is the one brand that is probably easiest to find, but im not a fan.

Yes. That's the name of it. I was thinking what that furry creature was on the bottle....gopher? That didn't sound right. Anyway, that mass produced stuff is from apple juice concentrate, much of it comes from China. Cheap crap.

Really? Woodchuck claims to be from locally grown Vermont apples.

My local liquor store on the corner of Harlem and Madison is supposed to have Angry Orchard. I'll look for that and Scrumpies.

I guess the brand I was thinking of is Crispin. Woodchuck tastes the same, so perhaps bad assumption on my part. Anyway, you can throw in one Vermont apple in a 1000 gallon vat and say its "MADE FROM REAL VERMONT APPLES!!"

I wasn't arguing. I was just interested.

I'm sure it's not all locally grown. That would be a lot of apples.

I like how stupid people just dismiss those drinking cider as queers. For those who cannot eat gluten, its either cider or certain types of hard alcohol.

I don't like cider, but I can see the appeal ofit.

When you need booze, you need booze. I'll drink frozen strawberry margaritas if that's all there is.

Nope.

Definitely a woman's drink.

Who said anything about 'queers'? not sure I've ever called a group of people that in my life.
'Queers'.

It's almost like there is a new gender forming through mutations caused by all the estrogen being pumped into milk. There are men, like you, me, Regular Reader, Chus, etc. There are women like Houston Homer, spaulding, Carrie, etc. Then there are these apple cider drinkers, proudly walking around in their skinny jeans looking for a group hug for the various food allergies they have to withstand.

No wonder the population in this country is shrinking. The only way women will be able to reproduce in the near future is by developing some kind of asexual reproductive mechanism to combat the inattention caused by the sugar rush of sweet alcoholic drinks

I'd rather develop a coke addiction than get drunk on cider. At least when I got caught blowing dudes I could blame it on a lack of cash to fund my vice
