You aren't nearly as athletic as you think you are. Stop running. I mean completely. Avoid sacks, throw the ball away, basically become Peyton Manning. You'll last longer and play a hell of a lot better.

Virtually every problem Jay Cutler has is a result of him not realizing that he isn't good enough to do whatever he wants.

John Gruden will tell you that Cutler is at his best when he is breaking the pocket and making things happen on the run.

Cutler was the leading rusher for the Bears most of the game, hard to blame him for getting a concussion on an illegal hit.

If the Bears can't win with Cutler by some people's estimation, can Houston win with Schaub? He was pretty bad too.

I loved the Bears acquisition of Cutler. I have been a fan & a defender of Cutler. However, at this point in time, Jay Cutler has underperformed & been a disappointment for the Bears. He has been a disappointing player, teammate & person. Without reviewing the stats, I would guess that Jays numbers aren't much different than Rex's numbers were with the Bears.

I'm fine with Cutler, I don't think he's the problem. Our run blocking is so goddamn bad that Cutler (as stated previously) checks out of the plays all the time in order to pass the rock to Marshall (who's probably in triple coverage).

If Cutler's brain isn't too liquefied to play next week and if Alshon comes back as well, I think things will be okay.

This is the second time in a few days you've called me cute. Having problems with Chris In Joliet?

The problem is this town totally missed the boat on putting this into anything remotely resembling proper context. And the radio blowhards are primarily the guilty party.

The one single time that I have heard about what I truly think the issue is, in the WRs not actually getting open and getting bullied, was Matt Bowen who made a small comment on that before a break with B&B. And then they didn't touch on it after they came back. That would seem to be a significant fucking issue but Boers went on to make the same useless point about something over and over for a period of 5 minutes. So that was that.

So not only does this guy have no faith in his line, but there is not only continuity with only one receiver, based on his size/athleticism alone. The others cannot get open.

And while Alshon's stat line doesn't suggest it, it was a big loss because he is a problem in coverage. Alshon was actually pretty physical off the line and through his route. Not the same for Earl and Hester.

And of course all of this is exacerbated by needing to chip with your tight ends.

And the routes are head scratchers, too. The red zone play with Campbell was a prime example. They send Marshall on a corner route while Earl runs a crossing route in front of that. So you have three DBs in a ten by ten box that pinch those two guys off completely. Campbell scrambles to get time and his #1 and #2 are totally pinched by three DBs and the sidelines and end line.

And they do the same thing on the other side of the end zone! So your other two options are not even a factor because the play is designed to go to Marshall and they are on the other side of the field and are taken out of the play entirely. And they get pinched just as bad so even if these guy understood the idea of running to the ball, it wasn't going to happen.

I understand the likeability of corner route with Marshall, but the Bears don't do that well. That is a timing route and not something you expect your backup with no reps, to complete. That should have been a crossing route across the end zone leaving Marshall with space to bully the coverage or use his athleticism to get open. Or even just run towards the ball and use his body to block the defender on the goal line as we have seen once or twice already this year.

Or cross anyone for fuck sake. You could have parked two CTA buses in the middle of the end zone.

I am of the opinion that Jay Cutler could take every snap, and immediately punt the ball to the other team, and you'd find a way to blame our punter for not being effective enough.

I'm of the opinion that the Bears could go 13-3 this season, host the NFC title game, win the Super Bowl, and you would still be pissing and moaning about Jay Cutler.

He needs to play better, no doubt. But c'mon man the team is 7-2 and poised to be one of the top seeds in the NFC playoffs. Can't you just enjoy the season for what it is?

While extreme and unlikely to win the Super Bowl with QB play like this, why would terrible QB play be erased by winning?

How many losses until I can start to question the play of our quarterback. If I looked through your posts this year, would you have any complaints about any Bears players? Have you taken your own advice and just been happy with every single Bears player because they are winning? I hope you are defending Kellen Davis with the same logic. After all, we are 7-2. Who cares if he's not performing?

I am not a huge Cutler fan, think they gave up way too much for an average qb...7-2 is a good record but the Bears have yet to beat a good team..if they lose to the Niners it is more cause for concern...I do not want Cutler resigned when his deal is up..too injury prone and throws too many ints.

If they go 13-3 or 12-4, win 2 home playoff games, and win the Super Bowl, there likely will not be bad QB play.

Last time they were in the playoffs and there was bad QB play against the Packers, they were one play away from tying or winning the game.

Bad QB play Sunday (bad WR play, bad TE play, missed FG), yet same deal one play away from winning. Shows you how good the Bears are. If Arron Rodgers plays poorly do the Packers have a chance at winning? Not against a good team. Steelers needed OT last night to beat the worst team in the league because of poor/backup QB play. Very few teams in the NFL can win with sub par QB play. The Bears can and they have. With good QB play, they could be damn near unstopable.

For now, I'm off to make a stupid, foolish post calling for Kellen Davis to punt the ball away every time he gets a chance...

Are you saying that Cutler actually isn't playing poorly because the Bears are 7-2?

I guess I just don't get your point. It seems to be to ignore everything that is concerning about the team because they are 7-2. Is that basically it?

I have not said Cutler isn't playing poorly. My point is that the Bears are able to win even with poor QB play. That doesn't mean I am hoping for poor QB play, but I know that if Cutler does go out there and stink (like he has a few times this season), the Bears still can win the game.

I never said this either. Seems to be you read only what you want to read.

...and the Bears can overcome Kellen Davis too. If your point is not "ignore Cutler's bad play because they are winning" then I don't know what you are saying.
