cutler is better then stafford. better football smarts by far. a little better accuracy. but not by much! and cutler can throw hard, but stafford has a canon.

That rule (the one costing Detroit a TD) is stupid beyond belief. Why should a team be penalized for throwing a challenge flag when the play would be reviewed anyway? (How many times have we seen Lovie and other coaches throw a flag and then be notified by the ref -- wthout penalty -- that the play is not reviewable?) And I have to believe the purpose of reviewing all scoring plays is to verify that the runner/receiver was across the plane, in bounds, or had possession in the end zone...not to go back and see whether the runner was down 80 yards back.

How about this hypothetical: Same play, but Kubiak throws the challenge flag instead of Schwartz (it wouldn't make sense from the Texans' perspective, but let's say Kubiak knew the rule and thus wanted to prevent the automatic review). What would the officials have done?
