I thought the Bears short yardage game was particularly effective today. Every short yardage play they came out with Carimi as tackle eligible and I don't remember them getting stuffed. I think they were 67% on third downs.

I thought Carimi showed some maturity by having a presence in the game after being benched but before he was inserted at emergency guard. Then he did a nice job at guard. I pray we will not see him there next year.

I kind of agree on that point. They defense seemed to have this game in control. I would have waited to spring that on the road in two weeks. I'd like to argue that the play puts enough in to the Vikings head that it slows down their rush in the future but they blocked a field goal later in the half.

I think that play only works on an extra point because the D overloads the one side of the line. How often do you really need to fake an extra point? Pretty much never, so you might as well use it whenever the circumstances dictate.
