There is a benefit June 21st from 6 - 8 PM at Rockit Bar for the family of Craig Rife. Craig was a childhood (and adult) friend of the Lovehammers. The Lovehammers (aka Marty Casey & Lovehammers) are a local (Hickory Hills) rock band working with a major label (Sony / Epic). Marty came in second during Rockstar: INXS and the band has taken off from there. Craig was tragically killed in a snowmobile accident this past winter and the band (and Rockit Bar) put together this benefit to help his family with medical expenses. I saw that when I was looking at the golf outing pictures on ESPN's website. Was he a regular or a celebrity participant?

I went to high school with Marty and the Kourelis brothers and also a little college time at ISU.

I knew Craig as well but the last time I had seen him was probably in college.
