I used to have to walk by his "show" when the studio was in the Merchandise Mart. He had like 5 people standing around talking into their mics whilst he was on air. There was one incredibly hot chick of the five. Every day she wore half shirts showing off an unbearably hot tummy. I couldn't listen, but I definitely stopped and stared. Kind of embarrassing really. Still have no idea who she was, then they canceled his show.

I listen to his podcast. It's kind of like Wally Phillips actually. He's not lazy, though. He tries his best but not many people want to listen to a sober 55 year old.

Yeah, that would be much worse. Dahl is nothing if not genuine. And I'm sure there are plenty of people who were teenagers in 1979 that grew up with Dahl, became more conservative as he did, bought bigger homes and more expensive cars and took up golf as he did the same, and raised their families at close to the same time he raised his. I'm just not one of those people. Dahl isn't a phony. I respect him for that. He just has to deal with the fact that the 55 year old guy generally isn't going to be as passionate about his interests as the 21 year old guy. Dahl is a must-listen for fewer people than he once was. He used to be Everyman. Now he's a rich guy who needs to sit on a cushioned seat and be fed gourmet food when he attends a "rock" concert. That's fine. But again, it just isn't me.

I dunno, North was smart in some ways and dumb in others. Unfortunately the dumb was about 90% of it. I was a big fan in the early years though. He was the first guy to not kiss the asses of the team's management, which was a relevation at the time.

Yeah, I don't know all the details, but Fritzy was complaining about how North jerked him off over something. He called North a "user".

I ran into a co-worker of Fritzy's at the annual Turkey Bowl who told me the same story.

Like I said, I don't know any details. If I had to guess, I would think Fritzy may have stuck his neck out to help North with the Webio and when shit broke bad he expected North to be a stand-up guy and make things right with Fritzy and/or his guys and Mike's answer was to go fuck yourself. That's just a guess though. Maybe it's something totally different.

Fritzy is a good guy. Mike North is a jerkoff. I can't believe it took Fritzy 40 years to figure that out. But a lot of us probably have friends from high school that we wouldn't be friends with except for the fact that we were friends in high school.

Like many I was a religious listener to him until the score started actually. I imagine he sobered up and matured as has his main audience in similar ways. I like many would probably be criticizing the hell out of him now if he was a 55 year old trying to be cool/hip with the younger crowd?

Fritzy & North are both great guys. We went on a cruise with a bunch of people including Fritzys Daughter & her Husband & had a blast with them. Fun times.
