I'm in a cube "office" where the cube wall goes straight to the ceiling. It's about as good at soundproofing as tissue paper. We regularly carry conversations through it.

What I hate is when I'm on a conference call with someone right next to me. They speak (which I can hear perfectly clearly) and then 0.8 seconds later, the voice comes over the phone line. Then I have to shut one of my ears down to try to understand what they are saying. First world problems.
