That is pretty telling.

The only problem is that Cutler is on pace for a season very similar to what Orton did his last year here in Chicago, and Cutler is in the "prime" of his career.

And yet Cutler keeps winning.

While Orton goes down every year with an "ankle injury" and the backup QB beating him every year and he loses his job.

Cutler has had a season ending injury the past two years too, so...

Oh, and Orton is now a career backup. I don't know why that matters. He likely could come in and put up the same numbers as Cutler is.

I get great joy that Cutler is now an "ALL HE DOES IS WIN!" QB.

I would trade jay for Andy d in a second...cincy would never do ..cutler is slightly better than Orton..nowhere near two firsts and a third and a slightly worse qb. Only a dumbass would look at the record and credit cutler for those wins.

Yeah and the Bears are 1-6 without Cutler in there and Orton would be dead behind this line.

You people are football stupid.

I guess I was making a joke about his less than average last year with the Jets and the Vikings.

Horrible joke Darko. Favre had statistically what was perhaps his best season ever while with the Vikings.

And also a pretty damn bad one.

too bad Cutler can't make plays on his feet as good as Wilson can. I'll take Wilson over Cutler any day of the week.

You didn't see Cutler scramble for 2 key first downs today?

Cannot put one ounce of blame for this loss on Jay Cutler.

He played well, even better if you take into account he is playing with a career ending injury.

Considering the might never play another down in the NFL, he played a good game.
Nope this loss is on Lovie for the 4th and 1 attempt and the D for not pulling it together in the 4th.
Also, Lovie should have called a goddamn TO in OT when the d was obviously gassed.

Not counting the prayer field goal at the end of the game, they put up 14 pts in 4 quarters. He's the qb , that's on him.

Were you watching the game?
Bears left 10 points on the field with a bad drop and a stupid 4th and 1 call.

How many other drives did they have in the game that didn't do shit? I watched the entire 4th quarter, you know with the highest rated 4th quarter qb in the history of mankind. They did jack shit excepting a fucking 1 in 100 desperation throw at the end of reg. Not good enough.

They did jack shit by design since Lovie thinks it's appropriate to play as conservatively as possible whenever they hold a lead (no matter how slim) in the 4th quarter.

You realize that the Hawks have a pretty good defense?
Not on Cutler at all. This was the Defense, and a couple bad coaching decisions. Cutler was fine.

Matt Forte 66 yards, a mere 3 YPC. The D gave up drives of 97 yards and 80 in the last 8 minutes of the game.

This loss is 100% on Lovie and bad D. Nothing else.

Cutler. Had one of his best games as a bear...Marshall bailed him out on a bad throw/easy pick, and he real lucky. To get a b[cncr back to him on his fumble...the offense blows...32 in league in passing...I will take Wilson over Cutler too

That's the problem though. When the Bears win with Cutler having below average results everyone just says "All he does is win!". You can't have it both ways. If this loss isn't on Cutler, then many of his wins aren't on Cutler either.

And Lovie already admitted and said as much in his presser.

Then BRick and badrogue need to listen to Lovie's comments.

BRick, Cutler wasn't the one who let a rookie QB engineer touchdown drives of 94, 97, and 80 yards. Cutler wasn't the one missing tackles. Cutler wasn't the one who could not get off the field on 3rd and 4th down several times during the course of the game. Cutler wasn't the one who failed to execute blocks on the 4th & 1 play.

Cutler was the one who threw a long TD pass that was dropped, he was the one who kept firing the ball thru tight coverage to Marshall because nobody else (Forte included) on the Bears offense was a factor, and Cutler was the one who threw a 56 yard pass to Marshall to send the game to OT.

You can say whatever you want, and you can think whatever you want. You would be 100% dead wrong to put any of this loss on the quarterback for the Bears.
