Signed for 6 years and $12 million.

More than double what Hope was making and puts them near the middle of the Big Ten. That leaves about $2.5 to spend on assistant coaches.

He's now officially declined the position at Colorado, which means that this whole thing was likely a way to get more money from Cincy, or he has another job in mind. The only ones left seems to be Wisconsin and Tennessee though.

Reports are they just hired John Shoop as the offensive coordinator. I can't wait for him to bring the same high powered offense he brought to the Bears.

I hated Shoop as much as anyone but he is a completely different person than the bug eyed boob from the Bears. He did some great work at UNC and coached a lot of guys up to the next level. UNC seemed to get a premiere RB/QB/WR early in the season and the offense continued to run smoothly

I'm concerned that he runs a pro style offense. I think a school like Purdue needs to be more gimmicky. If he can help coach the next NFL QB then it will be a great hire.

Just like every other coaching position though, it is an upgrade from the previous guy so that is good.
