Right, but every coach is like that. Coaches should think that way. Why would you want somebody if he can't help you? This is pro sports. It's not about sentimentality.

Belicheck wouldn't sign him if he didn't think Urlacher could help. Obviously, Urlacher would have to take a physical before signing with anybody. If he gets nagging injuries during the year that slow him down worse than he is, yes, any team in the NFL would cut him. Or if he just doesn't project out to what you thought, you cut him. So what? That's the NFL for aging vets.

Rick, you come across as somebody who would rather Cutler and/or the Bears fail so that you can be right much more so than see the Bears win a Super Bowl.

Obviously I don't know for sure, but thats definitely the way you have come across here almost since the trade was made, and that is really quite sad.

Yeah. You've made the point before.

Feel free to think I like it when the Bears lose. I tried to explain it before, and you didn't accept it. I'm done trying.

Urlacher is overrated at this point in his career. He was playing on one leg thanks to Lovie Smith in last year's Minnesota game. If anything this is a good thing for the defense because he was not even as good as last year before the injury.
