I think Ghost is the only true believer that nothing is ever Cutler's fault.
You must have missed enigma's posts.
Let me explain this slowly
Cutler is not an elite QB, I put him in the Flacco, Schaub, Ryan category. Put any of these 3 QBs in the Bears offense and I don't see significant, if any, improvement.
The problem I have is the constant criticism of Cutler. When Cutler puts up numbers against Jacksonville "Well, the game was already decided when he put up those numbers."
So when he throws for nearly 120 yards and has a QB rating over 115 in the first half against the Vikings a couple weeks ago when the Bears led 25-3 at the half "Yeah, great but what did he do in the second half."
When he led the 4th quarter drives against Carolina "Yeah but where was he the first half."
I would be more critical of Cutler on these boards, but because of the extreme opinions some people have of him, I feel that there needs to be a counterbalance.
Some people look at this as excuses, I look at it as fact. The Bears have one of the worst offensive lines in football
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1436 ... -offseasonThey have the worst pass catching tight ends in football, and Devin Hester has been counted on as at least the #3 receiver, and at times has been the number 2 reciever on the Bears. Should Devin Hester be a top WR on any team? And Mike Tice hasn't exactly wowed me with his playcalling. Can anybody explain to me on the Cutler second interception why the Bears are in shotgun in third and 1?
If you want to improve the Bears offense, improve this part of the offense. No, they don't have to be all all pros, but I would take average. Is Jamarcus Webb average, was Carimi at end average? Was Chilo Rachal?
If someone wants to refute those facts, go ahead...or make smiley faces.
