Glad to see we're on scapegoat number, what, 12 of the Jay Cutler era.

My Bears synopsis:
* Defense played well enough to win. After the first drive, that was it for Minnesota.
* Cutler made a few overthrows but was responsible for only one INT.
* Next week, sit Hester and play Sansenbacher for the ultimate benching.
* 3rd & 1 and Allen at HB? I missed hearing if both Bush & Forte were dinged up.
* How does that Greg Olsen trade look?
* If the Bears do not make the playoffs, how does Virginia's mouthpieces justify bringing Lovie back?

Greg Olsen
Marion Barber
Mike Tice
Jerry Angelo
J'Marcus Webb
Devin Hester
Lovie Smith

I'm sure I'm missing a few.

Oh, the Kansas City Chiefs were blown out by Cleveland today, but don't worry, Dewskie says we can trust in Phil Emery and that Shea McMotor is turning things around.

Glad to see folks are coming around. Ive been saying this for years. But not the Rubenesque asst bit. How many fans would be sorry to see Smith go?

Hey. Nerd boy. Dunno if you've heard, but the Chiefs are winning the AFC this season.

I'm really upset that the Chiefs won last week. I mean, I guess it was gallows-humorous that like the one time a team Wins For The Dead Guy it's a win for the dead guy who had just murdered his daughter's mother, but had the Chiefs finished 1-15 on top of

- spending oh god like half the season without ever holding a lead
- a ridiculously negative scoring differential
- the longform article on how Scott Pioli is a pseudo-military fuckdribble who ruined a theretofore stable organization by among other things scouring stairwells for candy wrappers
- having a player kill his girlfriend and self, the latter in front of his coach and the aforementioned PMF

they would be right up there among the all-time worst unmitigated dumpster fires. Consider two 1-15s: the '90 Patriots who almost sent the team to St. Louis by way of literally waving a penis in a woman's face, and the '91 Colts who averaged fewer than 9 points/game. In stats beyond won-lost, maybe they'd even challenge the 0-16 Lions, who for all their ineptitude, at least kept their death count at zero. And Hub Arkush picked them to go to the Super Bowl!

They're overwhelmingly likely to get the #1 overall pick, which would still make Hub literally as wrong as a person could possibly be about his prediction.

Hard to say because I don't think the Bears will get someone better.

Anyone who replaces Lovie will be a third consecutive taciturn, glad-handing Anti-Ditka to satisfy Michael McCaskey's delusions of civility and dignity in a sport that consists of fat guys bumping their heads into each other. So we're not going to get any improvement on that front. The question, then, is can we get a coach who replaces the execution-oriented approach with a flexibility-oriented approach? Because it seems to me like that's what works around the league.

Don't make Dan's Bears guy call in during the break to pat Dan on the back for saying Michael has nothing to do with the front office stuff.

Imagine a coach who combines the worst of Jauronspeak and Loviespeak. There's a right way to get in the building and get football information, you know.

"Well, I mean...I would need to know who the alternatives were, and determine if any of them were definitely better than Lovie, so it's tough to say."

Shea Mc Clellin is a fucking ghost.

Is there a team that doesn't play over injuries worse than Lovie's Bears? No one ever steps up and gives you hope that he will be pushing for playing time next year.

Didn't you tell me in a chat not too long ago that Lovie was a good coach and who cares what he says to the public? That anybody who judges him on that is an idiot?

Cutler should have been responsible for 5 touchdowns (3 to Bears players) but the drops in the end zone continue. There have been about 5 this year. When things were going well I was on here complaining about the offense and no one wanted to listen. Now that the defense can't overcome the offenses mistaken (even when they only give up 7 points) everyone is starting to take notice. It's not just Cutler either (I think he deserves most of the blame since he is the leader) but from the play calling to the drops this offense just isn't playing to the talent we thought we saw on paper. Putting together a drive of over 50 yards appears to be impossible. Not having time to throw the ball was the excuse earlier in the season but now Cutler has time and he's creating some with his feet when he doesn't but the offense still can't move the ball. I'm hopeful they can turn it around now that they are getting healthy on offense.
