But I bet you could pry one of Phoenix's 1st round picks away in exchange for taking back Marcus Banks. Reinsdorf would never green-light it, which is why I categorize it as unlikely, but the proposal is definitely a valid one.

Actually, what would have been a more reasonable option was a trade up. Had Phoenix got the #4 pick as expected, I might have offered to take back Banks, in exchange for swapping the 4 and the 9. Same goes for Boston at 5, with the Scalabrine contract. Etc, etc.
