Has anyone else been watching this (the new HBO series runs Sundays at 8:00)?

Strange, sometimes meandering storyline about a mystery man named John that becomes involved with a legendary surfing family of three generations in southern California. Then strange occurrences, or possibly miracles, begin to surround the family.

Good performances so far by Ed O'Neill as the odd uncle and Bruce Greenwood as the patriarch of the family. Also Rebecca De Mornay plays Bruce Greenwood's wife. I guess this could either develop into a strong series or go south quickly. We'll see.
