No, but he wasn't going to spit his way through a set with a DJ like Kanye did. JayZ doesn't get out of bed for a DJ show.

Eddie Vedder singing Pink Floyd was even more painful that Eddie Vedder singing Pearl Jam. Absolutely brutal.

Alicia Keyes was great, so was the Who & Sir Paul. Stones sucked as usual.

I don't know how anyone could say The Who was good. Townsend can still bring it, but Daltrey has clearly been terrible for at least a decade now. I loved The Who, but they are clearly done, and have been done for awhile now. They should have hung it up when Entwistle died.

The Who at the Super Bowl was an embarrasement. I don't think I have seen them since. But hey not everybody can be Will.I.Am.

My short review:

* missed the first 30. I don't "get" the whole Bruce thing.
* Roger Waters (not sure who he was,had an idea he was Pink Floyd) but I liked his performance.
* The WHO,I enjoyed them not a fan though
* Bon Jovi singing that obnoxious "Go Home" song with Bruce was awful.
* Alicia Keys is not a major hit maker. She should have been a warm up act.
* Rolling Stones were better comic relief than John Stewart and drunk uncle from SNL.
* Billy Joel-old & boring
* James McCartney- Sounded & looked great. I was happy to see he DID NOT sing Hey Jude. Instead some great songs from the "Band on the Run" album. Helter Skelter is still an awesome hard rock song.

* They should have invited the following:
* New Yorkers Gene Simmons & Paul Stanley-KISS
* Jack White
* Sheryl Crowe
* Ronnie Dunn (Brooks & Dunn)

Vedder sings Floyd all the time during shows. I wouldn't say he sucked any worse than anyone else on
that stage last night. What is good music to you Scorehead? You love to shit on everyone. I know you gave
some compliments to some of the acts but just interested to see who you think is the cats pajamas out
there in the music world right now.

Beats looking at a 80 year old British guy. Just can't get enough of "Like Steve McQueen"

I don't love to shit on everyone, only those that are bad at music & deserve it.

I have a pretty diverse collection of music. Not much new stuff though. In my younger days I was the guy who hated everything that was popular & I sought out obscure musical virtuosos who most people had never heard of. I wasn't interested in listening to bar chords & 3 chord rock & roll. I wanted to listen to guys like Alan Holdsworth, Al Di Meola, Bill Bruford, Chick Corea, Billy Cobham, Steve Howe, & Stanley Clarke. As I aged my musical tastes transitioned from prog & jazz fusion to power pop. Having said that, I love everything from Zappa, Yes, early Genesis, King Crimson, Jean Luc Ponty, Chick Corea & Return To Forever, to Burt Bacharach, Sinatra, Buddy Rich, Harry Connick, Darryl Hall, Hall & Oates, Brian Wilson, Beach Boys, Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Beatles, LZ, The Who, & The Tubes, to lots of power pop bands with jangly guitars & glorious harmonies, like Jellyfish, The Grays, Jason Falkner, XTC, Badfinger, Raspberries, Merrymakers, Cloud Eleven, Pearlfishers, The Pursuit of Happiness, Gladhands, Miracle Brah, Mathew Sweet, Michael Carpenter, The Rosenbergs, Owsley, Rooney, & many many others.

My favorite singer/song writer/performer in the world is Todd Rundgren.

I had tickets to their recent Thursday performance at Allstate. No excitement leading up to the show, and ended up putting them up on Stubhub. Took a hit, and didn't care. I even forced myself to listen to Live at Leeds during the week of the show in an attempt to generate some excitement. After I read some good reviews the next day, I still didn't care. :shrugs:

I enjoyed their Friday show at Allstate. I had never seen them though, and I just wanted to be able to say I saw them before they stop completely. But it was better than i had anticipated.
