Good to see.

Nice.

Really really nice.

Now go get your shine box.

Yeah, that would have made a difference if Lovie would have acted like an ignoramus.

Regardless if they make the playoffs at this point or not, this is a dead-ass team, period. To go from 7-1 and a near-lock for the playoffs, and now 8-6 is inexcusable.

The window is closed; shitcan Lovie when the season's over and start from scratch with the rest of it.

It does seem reminiscent of that season where Ditka said he doubted they could win another game.

If my job was on the line, I would not act like a fucking manikin. And it manifests itself in his team. No fire, no passion, nothing. Just a fucking disgraceful lifeless cadaver of a team.

Peeps do you think that had Smith not stood there like a mute while his rookie receiver was getting flagged 3 times for interference that they wouldnt have been likely to get the call at the end when Jeffrey did get interfered with with no flag? It sure seemed to work for McCarthy when they flagged his guy for the hold on Jeffrey in the 3rd quarter and the next 3 ticky tack calls calls went against Jeffrey

No I don't think yelling and screaming at the ref would result in the Bears getting favourable calls.

Yes, the answer is standing there and doing nothing. That's how you inspire your team to play hard. Genius.

Yelling and acting like an idiot did wonders for Rex Ryan this year huh?

Engaging the ref's is part of sports. Acting like an idiot is totally different.

9 years of watching Lovie Smith's tired lifeless act is more than enough.

The axe needs to fly.

I agree he needs to go.

His refusal to adjust to the what's going on and his insistence that he knows better is awful.

I don't care about not being emotional on the sidelines.

Bears Total offense rank under Lovie Smith (based on YPG);

2012 28
2011 24
2010 30
2009 23
2008 26
2007 27
2006 15
2005 29
2004 32

He has had one year where his offense has been in the top half of the league. That one year, Super Bowl. He's been in the bottom third of the league every other year. I don't care if he is a defensive coach or not, those numbers are inexcusable.

I don't care about not being emotional on the sidelines.

Point taken, however sports, especially football, is an emotional endeavor. Yes one must keep their cool and be tactful, etc. but there comes a time when leaders need to lead and standing on the sidelines with one's clipboard in one's hand as call after call goes against your team and you do nothing, shows a lack of awareness as to the need of your team to believe their leader is engaged and leading.

Lovie Smith fails in all respects and the time has come for him to go bye bye.

Hire Marshall as Head Coach/Player. He apparently has the fire according to Larry and what he is being told he said in his post game just minutes ago.

On coaches being demonstrative:

Other than Tony Dungy, how many coaches have been visibly disengaged as much as Lovie Smith? I mean, most guys give you something. Even Belichick will work a ref now and then.

Look on the bright side, at least Lovie didn't have to throw the red flag today.

Thats more what I was trying to say. You dont need to scream at the officials but what the fuck you're letting your rookie receiver get absolutely jobbed by the refs and you just stand there like a fucking mute. MAybe if you just say something to them, you get that next call, especially the one that was interference on Green Bay and you didnt get shit.

The reality is this probably was a good outcome as it is becoming increasingly clear that Lovie Smith's days as Bears head coach are coming to an end.

And the door will not be hitting Mike Tice in the ass either as he departs Halas Hall relieved of his duties.

It's a chess game with the refs and Lovie Smith clearly fails to understand how to play.

I would support this. Guy has single-handedly transformed the Bears' passing offense.

Lovie is still good. The team respects him. Marshall wanted to come to Chicago because of Lovie. Players don't want to be badgered by their coaches. At least I don't think they do...
