They wouldn't say no. That's too absolute. You'd just get "you can't say with certainty that there's no reason, I mean, this is Emery's choice, but it's not. Emery's. choice."

then you ask...what's the reason?

Then you'd get:

"................................Wha? What's the reason?"

[call quietly dumped]

"[sigh] Yeah, I just, you know, I have no idea what makes people, you know, these questions, and where it comes from, but [sigh]"

"But that's Bears Monday for you!"

"[laugh] Ya know, it is, too. It really is."

Speaking of "Mr. Multimedia", he sits in with Bernsy Thursday when the "B & B Show" along with "Mac & Spiegs" originate from David Schuster's Real Urban Barbeque in Vernon Hills for The SCORE's annual holiday live broadcast. You've been warned.

It did seem odd and kind of tacky. I wouldn't have allowed him there for at least the rest of the year. I wonder if any teammates felt kind of strange about it.

Well, that explains their ad blitz.

Why am I laughing so hard at the idea of David Schuster as the proprietor of a barbecue joint? Maybe I thought he'd specialize in rotisserie chicken?

And if he tells me "you get the jizz" when I ask what kind of sauce they use, I'm just leaving right then and there.

I wonder if Bernstein shows up to Shuster's BBQ joint with a dogeared copy of The Joy of Cooking and gets into shouting matches with him about whether or not he's making true St. Louis-style ribs.

Here's the "State Farm Bears Monday" Game Plan:

*NEXT: [i]The SCORE/WBBM/Bears Radio Network's Zach Zaidman-
Reaction from HC Lovie Smith's Press Conference

*4P: The SCORE/Tribune/CSN Chicago's Matt Bowen-
X & O's Breakdown-Packers 21, Bears 13[/i]

"Scoreboard Updates": Connor McKnight

Terry's "two favorite words", Laurence Holmes, wraps up "State Farm Bears Monday" @ 6P. Dial Global Radio's coverage of "Monday Night Football" follows @ 7P. Jim Gray has his "partners", the Patriots' Tom Brady & the Cardinals' Larry Fitzgerald, joining him on the pregame. Kevin Harlan, Dan Fouts & Tony Boselli then paint the picture from Nashville for the Jets/Titans' game @ 7:30P. "SCORE Overnight" with Les Grobstein & Adam Harris follows the game until 5A Tuesday morning, complete with "Bum of the Week". I wonder who could that be...

How long until someone calls in and makes the argument that Welker is so successful because he's disciplined and gets by on his football acumen while an athlete like Alshon Jeffery has to rely on pure talent to overcome his lack of intelligence as evidenced by those offensive pass interference calls?

Why is it so hard for these callers to put into words why Urlacher's comments upset them?

He said, "the only team in the division to get booed at home is us. It's unbelievable to me." All one of the callers needs to say is that they were booing because the Bears played like shit. When you play bad we boo. Why is that so hard to articulate?

Or just point out the bald-faced stupidity of it. I mean, Urlacher has played at Ford Field, correct?

The Bears have had a terrific decade?

2003: missed playoffs
2004: missed playoffs
2005: NFC North champions
2006: NFC champions
2007: missed playoffs
2008: missed playoffs
2009: missed playoffs
2010: NFC North champions
2011: missed playoffs
2012: fading fast

That's not really that terrific. If that's terrific, the Packers' decade is fucking fantastic.

I appreciate the kind words. It's a family radio station. There are certain words that are off limits.

Them nitpicking every little thing a caller says is bad radio, especially when they demand to know who said something a caller referenced (a caller should simply reply with "my guy...") and Terry of all people asks a caller "What's your point?"

Does Dan believe in momentum in football? Yesterday I heard Bowen talking about the momentum a team gets when they know they'll be getting the ball to start the second half.
