The Bears will win their next 2 games and make the playoffs. I think we all need to take a couple deep breaths. I saw several positives in yesterday's game on offense. Alshon Jeffery is a legit #2 option. I know there were a couple of dumb penalties/bad call but he showed he could get open and he's a big target. In addition to Forte appearing to be healthier the return of Bennett will give the Bears 4 good/really good players on offense. Once the Bears make it to the playoffs anything can happen. We've all seen that. The defense was still solid even though they were missing 4 or 5 key players. It takes a while to learn a new system and having injuries don't help. I'm extremely optimistic that the offense will begin to help the defense.

I don't care how many injuries the D has, they need to be able to get off the field. Its been 2 weeks in a row now where they have given up a lot of 3rd (and 4th) down conversions.

21 points, 7 of which were off a turnover is a pretty good game against an offense like that. Similar situation last week.

7-17 on 3rd down and 2-2 on 4th down is not all that good. And one of the 3rd downs they did stop them, Bears had 12 guys on the field. The last 2 times the Packers had the ball they were rushing just trying to kill time.

21 points, but Packers should have had at least 24 and probably 27.

I agree. You know it's all about points though. They've been primarily responsible for 21 points the past 2 weeks. That's more than good enough to win with.

I think it evens out Frank when you consider that the Packers scored 2 touchdowns because they went for it twice on 4th down because they didn't trust their soon to be former kicker.

I believe each of the last two games is not a "gimme". Matt Forte is highly suspect as is #6 and they can both lose a game for you as evident yesterday. You can't punch it in from the one fucking yard line?

And the callous disregard for ball security that jerk face shows is disgusting.
Emery needs to tell him to get his shit right or he could be battling with Alex Smith for his job.
Alshon has the goods to be a good compliment to BMarsh, albeit with a better QB. Keeping Bush is important as tippy toes Forte has not shown to be worth his new paper.

It's funny but the whole offense (not just Cutler) takes turns in stopping their drives. The receivers dropped balls or ran poor routes, the O-line missed blocks, and there were many untimely penalties. And the RB's are wildly inconsistent.

I wonder how much higher a pick the Bears would have if they lost the next two games rather than won and went to the playoffs. I would think it would likely be a difference of consequence, and I would then suspect that such a short-term future would benefit the long term, which at this point this season is the only real thing to have any interest in following.

People said the same thing about the Giants when they won both SB. I'm not saying the Bears will win the SB but I like their chances when they make the playoffs. This is a good team.
