If you are going to call Jeffery for the push off, you have to call Shields for holding the mans jersey. That is BS

That last series was the epitome of Lovie Smith's Bears career.

It's fitting for the Pack to clinch right in Ginny's own house. This team sucks from top to bottom.

It sure was. Packers are a lot better, but those "calls" were just fucking terrible. Same with the call on Conte and Peppers.

I didn't know Joe West did football too.

Including who they are going to draft with a somewhat higher pick.

(not all the questions are bad!)

(not good with silver linings)

Why, oh God why, do I have to hear Larry's voice with Doug? What a miserable weekend I've had.

No thanks!

He's the best player on a top-three defensive line that has no other elite talent to draw attention. You'd think that would tell Scorehead something. But, of course, it doesn't.

Cutler was bad, that INT was terrble. Then after that botched fake put Cutler nearly threw an INT when Rodriguez was wide open in the flat.

It seems to me that Cutler was much better with Martz as OC than with Tice.

Speaking of Rodriguez, why can't the Bears throw more to the fullback? I have said this a few times but a few play action plays to the tailback and a toss to the fullback in the flat would seem like a natural play to run if the Bears consider themselves a running team. If your not going to use Rodriguez as a receiver or as a runner, then stick a lineman in the backfield and just have him block. Then again with the Bears lineman, Rodriguez may indeed be a better blocker.

Or how about using the no-huddle once a while, I thought in the third after the Packers took nearly six minutes off the clock in route to 21-7 lead, the Bears could go no huddle, up the tempo and maybe make the Packers play a more vanilla defense. But no, it's the same old thing.

And the playcalling at the goal line, pathetic, lacking imagination.

Bears D line is nowhere near top 3. Peppers is over rated & over payed. His ROI is lousy. He is no where near the player that he once was. It was nice of him to at least show up today though. At the end of the day, J-Pepp hasn't been a difference maker or game changer for the Bears. Don't be surprised if he is gone next year.

I only got to see the first half and a little of the third quarter (quite frankly, I thought it would be 30-3 by that point), but I completely agree. All year long you have not been able to get ANY yardage by running a HB dive play in a full on goal line scenario. Why do you keep calling it? It's not like these plays are by chance not converting... you can't point to any particular block causing the play to fail... they just don't have the OL to get the push on an obvious dive play. So what they need to do is something different (actually, ideally, you draft guys that can actually push the DL back a yard so you can convert them, but that is a different story.) I am so sick of the jumbo formation on 3rd and 1 at the 3 yard line. Just come out in a spread, give me 5 WRs (make Forte one of them if you want), and then run some sort of bootleg pass option type thing. You're converting those 70% of the time, but the dive over the middle to the HB is not working at all.. and hasn't all year... and this is week 15. It makes me call into question the offensive play calling going into next year.

I know that despite his size, Forte has never been a power runner. However, I cannot remember him running as weakly as he has this season. He had leverage on the tackler on second down and still could not force his way into the end zone. The good lord was being ironic by giving him the name Forte.
