Another thing. Do we know how the shooter gained access to his mother's guns?
Were the guns locked away -- did the son have access to the key or safe combination -- or were they in an easy-access area (unlocked)?

I never said that.

Essentially, you did. The Constitution will never be repealed, but those people who aren't purist may try to amend it. #Truth

Why is it terrible?

Is it any worse than your view that FarveFan is an accessory to the murder of those kids in Connecticut? Or that the 2nd Amendment be rescinded?

I was fucking with FavreFan. I feel like we know each other well enough for me to do that. He was unsure, and I clarified it with him via PM.

I feel as if the second amendment could definitely be reviewed, yes.

I don't think 20 children dying in the classroom is the price of freedom our forefathers were referring to.

What does "review" mean in this instance?

How would it be edited? What would the new version of the 2nd Amendment say?

I know you're a mult or pretending or something but this is one of the dumber things I've ever read in my life.

Congrats.

I was half kidding, but I said it because you said you are still in favor of an individual's right to own a gun yet you constantly, passionately, rail against advocates of gun rights.

Have you watched or read the news? There are a lot of us that feel this way. We are sick of our rights being taken away from us, and we are going to take a stand. I am sorry you are not willing to take a stand for FREEDOM. #Truth

What can I say? These things happen.

Just like the mass-murder of 6-year-olds. Oh well.

It's the price of freedom. There is no need to repeal the 2nd Amendment because of it. If that principal had a gun in her office she could have prevented all of this. #Truth

I think some of the arguments are absurd. It happens a lot. I've found myself many times appearing to argue against something I believe in because the person that shared my belief was making an absurd argument. I know some Pro Life people feel that way after hearing my views on it.

No freedom is free. And the thing is, to preserve freedoms, lives still must be given. Some of those are 18 year old kids volunteering to fight a war and some are 6 year old kids trying to learn at school. We mourn the losses, but we move on until the next event. Our freedoms are not ours by divine rights, they are ours because we pay for them each day. Therefore, I will not support repealing or amending our constitution to save any number of lives. Everyone has to sacrifice. Our right to own guns are that important. #Truth

Well if the price of keeping the status quo on that particular freedom is the occasional mowing down of rooms full of Kindergartners, then maybe we could take a look at lowering the price a little.

When I see these horrific events that unfolded in a town about a half hour away from where I grew up, I could not possibly care less about politics.

One would need to be significantly disturbed to look at these children, these innocents robbed of life, and stoop to the level of even processing these events through a political filter.

I am heartbroken, but we will all get over this in a few days. Do we lower the price on freedom every time a school full of kids are slaughtered? That's a real slippery slope. If you continue to give your freedom away, eventually you will not have any. Our freedom to have 30 round magazines -a full 9 yards if I choose- and assault weapons trumps 20 kids being killed in school. It's the sacrifice we make for freedom. Taking our guns away will not prevent these things from happening. Arming the principal would have. We have to stop giving our freedoms away! They force us to wear seat belts because it allegedly saves lives, can't drink in drive in our own cars, can't bring weapons on an airplane and now they want our guns. ENOUGH! #Truth

I am not the only American that feels this way. Look around this thread or television and you will see a lot of like-minded Americans. #Truth

Sorry. I had forgotten for a moment that you weren't real. My mistake.

The joke is kind of tolerable when the subject is grown men and women playing at politics. Much less so, however, when it trivializes the death of children.

Carry on.
