This from ESPN.com insider. It's free for now. I thought it was interesting how high Tyrus's numbers were compared to the rest of his draft class.

It's interesting, like much of Hollinger's work, but I also feel he's patting himself on the back a bit too much. His system does indeed flag some of the guys that ended up falling into round 2, but it also pushed plenty of guys down that shouldn't have been. While he's celebrating the revisionist history of discovering Delonte West, he seems to ignore the fact that he would have passed on the following players in their given draft slots:

Emeka Okafor
Ben Gordon
Andre Iguodala
Deron Williams
Charlie Villanueva
just to name a few

Also, according to his system from last year's draft, he's got essentially zero difference between Brandon Roy and Ronnie Brewer, and Patrick O'Bryant (oops) ranks ahead of LaMarcus Aldridge. This year, he rates Nick Fazekas ahead of Joakim Noah, and Jared Dudley ahead of Jeff Green, Corey Brewer, Julian Wright, and Al Thornton. So apparently, Nick Fazekas will be an all-star, and Jared Dudley will be 2nd to only Kevin Durant among the SF's in this crop.

I like Hollinger, mostly because he's unique, but sometimes he's really full of shit.

If nothing else, it gives me hope for Tyrus. He was the third ranked player of the last 5 years, behind Durant and Melo. If he produces anywhere near that I'll be ecstatic.

all i know about TT is he has the killer instinct, he has hands free of butter, he has the physical frame and he can move like a damn rabbit. as a second year player coming into this season, even at 20 years old, has tyrus shown any glaring flaws in his game yet? after one season, nobody is backing down from the 'he could very well be a perennial allstar' statement and while thats only the first step, he has shown glimpses of 'holy shit' on more then a few occasions; imo its safe to say that thomas is likely the real deal.
