i was personally hoping they'd trot out some sort of a cyborg/undead dick clark who was hellbent on ensuring that ryan seacrest NEVER gets a chance to fully take over his gig. Not because Dick's some sort of megalomaniac whose perpetual addiction to the spotlight mandates that he continues to appear; just because it's ryan seacrest and seriously, fuck that guy!

I know Ryan Seacrest has done the heavy lifting in recent years, but truth be told, it felt different minus "America's Oldest Teenager" for the first time since Dick's death earlier this year. Then again, can't any other local station do a New Year's Eve special? Janet Davies & Mark Giangreco on ABC7? The best we have? C'MON MAN!
