Nebraska is looking overmatched.

Spurrier is fucking with Michigan right now...just wait until the fun and gun starts

Northwestern...meh. I'm sure they'll find a way to go all Northwestern on this game.

As my future FIL said, "how the hell did Purdue qualify for a bowl game?!?"

nebraska IS overmatched. michigan too.... and northwestern? shit... they were up 13-0 something like halfway into the 2nd quarter, i go and fry a couple'a eggs, and i come back and it's 13-10 as the half closes. i think that qualifies as "going all northwestern" or whatever.

ONLY TOUCHDOWN JESUS CAN STAND UP TO THE BIG BAD SEC.... YOU GOTTA BELIEVE!

edit: right as i finish this post, SC plays smear the queer with denard robinson, then returns the resulting punt for a TD. someone cue up the kool aid man!

I saw a pic on twitter of Purdues Bowl games. Stadium is about ten percent full.

It does qualify as "going all Northwestern".

Clemson beat LSU last night...not too surprising considering Les Miles is still the coach at LSU.

Piss on Michigan...Gruden is entertaining me on the Outback Bowl.

Conns...that is the new bowl they started to justify not bulldozing the Cotton Bowl...I think they call it the "Ex-Lax No One Gives A Shit Bowl".

also HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH LOLOLOLOLOL @ the michigan punter/last-defender..... that SC returner is clearly going outside, the white guy has position.... but then the SC returner does a lil fake juke move inside then continues outside to the pylon.... if the white guy doesn't bite and flinch the other direction he's got an angle on the returner, but in the heat of the moment in THE BIGGEST GAME OF THE SEASON you know he's back there like "oh fuck, i'm the last line of defense to stop this guy in the open field" and he was prolly freaking out to a point where faking a move inside, perhaps the dumbest thing the returner could do there (work back into the coverage) worked perfectly.

i'm going to be hard pressed to find a more hilarious moment than that today.

Aaron Murray is a little bitch. Another shitty bowl performance. He's about ready to be the QB of the future for the Browns.

northwestern is up 27-13 with 14:52 left in the 4th quarter. to sufficiently "go all northwestern" they've gotta blow this lead.

54 years since a bowl victory? is that right? let's see if, for once, they can embody what Q said at the end of star trek the next generation and aspire to be more than they ever were at this one moment in time and space.

wow, with NU giving up ~8yds/play on defense til miss st got to the ~30 yard line, they finally stop a run and then get a sack..... only to have an illegal hands to the face penalty toss them 15yds and a first down.... and there's the TD.

27-20 northwestern. OOOOOH YEAH </machoman>

JESUS CHRIST ALMIGHTY MAKE A FUCKING CATCH, JONES.

seriously, colter threaded that pass in there... yeah it was a bit high, but that WR jones had it and brought it in but then as he fell to the ground he lost the ball in the spin-o-rama. now they're gonna have to punt and give up the tie.

FINALLY. someone steps up and makes a play (albeit the QB for miss st).... huge INT and a nice return + penalty = 5 yards to the goal-line... which surely means a FG and NU loses 34-30, right? =D

and now the clown parade is going on with these sweep playcalls... fumbles out of bounds.... thank god the defense had 12/+ players on the field.

LOLWTF!??!!? down 14 with ~2min left miss st has 2nd and 19 and they run a hurry up draw play? A HURRY UP RUNNING PLAY?!?!?

indeed, mississippi state is truly northwestern-proof. northwestern wanted to give them the game, they offered it so nicely.... but holy shit, miss st repeatedly shit the bed down the stretch. this final possession by them = sack / draw / inc / sack.

FADE... TO.... BLACKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol... pat's crying in the interview.... but that didn't stop him from belting out a commercial-grade "CHICAGO'S BIG TEN TEAM... GO CATS!"

seriously, that was exactly the caricature that bernstein used to make fun of.... which suddenly stopped right around the time that NU became "chicago's big ten team" and got themselves a spiffy new text screen in the WSCR studios =D

yeah Georgia is going to win the game. But the "vaunted" SEC is struggling to beat Big 10 teams today. Makes me believe even more that ND can indeed hang with Bama.

One day I hope you get it! It's not the "vaunted conferences" which the Media hypes, its the game that matters :!: If South Carolina was in the Big East and Michigan was in the WAC that was one helluva a football game

MIchigan/South Carolina had two memorable moments, other than the last second TD:

1) Worst call ever by ref on that measurement.
2) Clowney killing the Michigan RB.

To be fair, it's not like ND looked good against any of the B1G. They only beat Purdue by 3. Those games were before Gholson got good though.

THAT GAME WAS GREAT!

Another one brewing with the Rose bowl nearing halftime. Another game tonight with NIU. :D :D
