I should stop being surprised when your name is connected to a bad sports thought.

And how is that a bad sports thought?

Was Lovie better than Wannstedt and Jauron ? Yes

Is there a good chance the next coach will have a worse record? Yes.

No see its a good sports thought but you don't recognize it because your mad I pointed out your passion about porn and you've been trying to get my attention since. Im sorry if the porn thing bothered you and sorry you think saying lol is awesome and should be used frequently.

You should stop trying to come at me. Its not gonna end well.

is there an Angus/RPB ongoing feud I didn't know about? This is kinda funny.

You should just let the lol thing go though Bryan. It's really not a big deal and it doesn't seem characteristic of you to get worked up over petty, harmless things other people do.

 Oh, the rage! How dare you!

Is that all you've got? Porn? I'm wondering how you figured me to be mad about it when I laughed @ it.

Yes Lovie was a better coach than Wanny & Jauron. That doesn't take much. But what really makes you think he'll be better than the Bears next coach, when they haven't even hired the next coach? If there's a good chance the next coach will have a worse record, there's an equal chance he'll have a better record.

And here's a news flash, good sports thoughts aren't things you just pull out of your ass.

& where do you get that I keep coming @ you? You're the one who keeps talking shit. "It's not going to end well." Is that a threat? You really want to get ugly w/ me? I thought we were on good terms, but I guess we're not.

I don't care about the LOL thing. I was half joking. I only mention it here because Angus seemed to take offense to it in that thread

Angus, youre not really a person who should be judging sports thoughts.

And apparently you think the NFL is a coin flip if you think the other coach has just as good a chance to be good as bad. Lovie was good. His winning pct was high. There are more coaches with worse records than better. Its that simple. The better a coach is, the higher probability coach x will be worse.

But it seemed like a pretty uncalled for shot. All I was doing, quite obviously, was saying its not a slam dunk thank god he's gone situation. Also to have a thread where we can compare the new coach to Lovie.

None of this constitutes a bad sports thought. Its just a feeling I have on it.

Since the porn thing it seems like you have been quick to criticize me. And I don't point out all the dumb things you post, so I figured it might be that. Maybe Im wrong.

And no, "it won't end well" was not a threat. I meant that in message board terms like if we argue over who has better sports thoughts it won't end well for you.

Anyway, I guess we'll see if the new coach us better. You calling my post dumb pretty much implies you think the next coach will be better. Hope youre right but you're probably not. And if you think being better than Jauron and Wanny is easy you must not watch the nil. Both those guys lasted longer than the average coach.

I watch the nfl and I think it's easy to find a better coach than Wanny or Jauron. Especially Wanny. I don't really care about longevity in this, because it would also be quite easy to find a better head coach than Norv Turner.

If its easy to find than why do most hires not come close to the minor success of those 3?

Most coaches are bad. Its definitely not easy to find a good one and it won't be easy to find one better than Lovie

Like somebody else said, nfl and nba teams are very risk averse. They'd rather take the mediocre than the unproven. But Wanna is a really terrible coach. I'm not even sure what the last job he had is where he didn't do a terrible fucking job.

Buffalo is in a tough division, but that team isn't bad. It has some solid, young offensive players and a defense which can be improved. Also, "Bear weather."

1 winning season in 13 years .... yeah, not bad.

I know I don't have the best sports thoughts.

Lovie was ok. Personnel had a lot to do w/ his firing, but I don't really think he adapted to the changes happening within the game itself. Meatballs will respond that he didn't have "da fire or da passion", but you & I know that's all bullshit. I give him credit for leading this organization to another Super Bowl, but I also see his short comings. Whether or not the new coach does any better is more up to management than anyone else, so I understand your pessimism.

I'll admit that I over-exaggerated when I said you make "bad sports thoughts". While we'll agree to disagree on this particular one, I shouldn't have pigeonholed you into that niche. Now if you originally explained it as you did here, it makes perfect sense. It isn't a "slam dunk". But it was time for a change. This isn't the Chicago baseball. They can't be mediocre forever.

As for criticism, I criticize a lot of people around here (ask Darkside). If you feel I've been calling you out more than others, I apoligi. 90% of the time I'm probably just shitting around. I really don't take any of this seriously, which is why most of my "sports thoughts" are just bullshit. I know I won't change any minds, nor do I care to.

Edit:  @Don Tiny

Yeah but that's what I disagree with. I'm not sure a guy like Tony Sparano will ever get another HC job; I know I wouldn't really want him for my team, but id take him over Wanny any day. I think there's dozens of coaches you could say that about.

Lovie knows absolutely nothing about the most important aspect of Football...Offense. That alone means that he is unqualified to be an NFL head coach. Plus, he cant hire Offensive Coordinators who are worth a shit either.
The only teams who might be interested in hiring Lovie as head coach are the lower tier teams who aren't really capable or willing to build a championship program. What I dont understand is if I'm one of these teams, why would I hire Lovie & pay him $5 Million per year, when I can hire one of the decent college head coaches? As I have posted here a few times, I think fewer NFL teams will be willing to hire failed retread NFL head coaches & will hire college coaches or NFL assistants, & I think that is a good thing.

I agree scorehead, lovie will fail miserably in next job...he will not get the turnovers that Tillman n the boys forced...I give no credit to lovie for urlacher..Tillman,Briggs n peppers ...he was just fortunate to be handed 4 great players.

I don't differentiate between lovie wanny or jaurin...all losers who could not get it done...if jauron n wanny had Hester setting records n that defense those guys could have had better records as well...none are good coaches IMO.

IF the new coach wins a Super Bowl or 2 I couldn't care less about his win% in comparison to Lovie's.

My wife usually gets what's on sale. My favorite has always been Prego, but Classico is very good, too. Ragu is passable but finishes 3rd.
