Any Football fan with a brain would take the first 9 RB's on this list over Forte. Forte is just a guy

Then you would clearly take Forte over 8 or 9 of those.

Isn't it though! I tried to make a joke that implied you don't have a brain!

But then the more I thought about, judging from the rest of your sports posts, you actually don't have a brain so I that joke was probably in poor taste

You can have Chris Johnson. Forte is better and will be going forward.

+1. If the Bears utilized Forte's skillset, he would have much more impact. They need to use him more in the passing game, like NO uses Sproles.

Forte can do so many more things on a field than Johnson can. Johnson is much better at running fast in a straight line than Forte is. Thats about it. Johnson would be awful on a terrible run blocking team like Chicago.

That's simply not true on either front. Chris Johnson has been a buster for two years now. MJD is coming off a bad and injured season as well. I consider Forte every bit the back that Mc Coy is and a notch below Rice. Foster, Peterson, Lynch and probably Charles are the only guys who I would say are better with little consideration. Forte is around where I thought he was this off season, a top 10 back probably around 7 or 8.

C.j. plays hurt...never misses games and faces 8-9 man fronts every game, he is the only threat. He had what 1200 yards this year...n breakaway speed unlike forte...Emery would trade them straight up in a second.

I have my doubts about Emery, but I dont think he's that stupid. I would love that as a GB fan though.

What about Foster? @ dolphin

Admit a few names on list are a reach, but my point was forte is not all that special...probably 11 or 12 best.

Boers just reported that "his guy" says that Emery has known who he wants to hire since Lovie was fired.

THe best thing about it is that Terry's guy and Dan's guy are the same guy. They just don't know it, or why he gives them differing information.

And Forte isn't doing shit until he is freed from the blocking game.

We've never won anything with Patrick Mannely, he needs to go if we're going to take the next step.

I challenge you to find many other RB who could average 4.5 ypc behind that line

So it's the line's fault that Cutler sucks, but they get no credit for Forte's ypc?

Urlacher. Hes finished.
Hester. Hes finished.
Peppers. Way too much money tied up in a player who sits out more plays than he plays.
Forte. Over rated.
the entire OL. Maybe keep Gabe.

 Get rid of a Pro Bowl DT but keep an oft injured guard, who was drafted as a tackle, AND who was benched more than once this season.

You are priceless, SH.

Ok...get rid of Gabe too!

I didn't mention a DT in my original post.

1) I don't think Cutler sucks
2) I didn't say the line is the reason for his sometimes poor play (although it is a component)
3) run blocking is a recognizably different activity than pass blocking
4) they cannot run when they need to

Sorry, a Pro Bowl DE. You know who I meant.

Cut Peppers, keep Carimi. And get Gruden in here!
Man your team would be the suck if you had a job in sports.

I'm curious. How was the Bears OLT this year? He got ripped big time for a few weeks, than I heard nothing. Has he improved? I would keep Garza at Guard,Lance Lewis and Web at RT?

Webb needed a lot of help in pass protection from either the tight end or running back, and even with that help he wasn't particularly reliable. Part of the reason the passing attack was so anemic was that the team frequently ran two-man--or in some cases one-man--routes.

Webb was a "project",I don't know what they should do with him or Carimi. It's up to the new coach. Emery ignored the O Line last season. His 1st big mistake.
