Good nomination. It was clear as day that RGIII shouldn't have been out there. He wasn't helping the team and was limping everywhere, even on scrambles. And this asshole had the nerve to criticize RGIII earlier in the year for taking too many hits.

Losing this game wouldn't help him get his kid a head coaching job.

Also, Shanahan is running out of years. He doesn't give a shit about Robert Griffin in 2017. He needs him right now.

Seriously, what Shanahan did is one of the most reckless things I've ever seen a head coach do before. My wife is swearing at the TV, and she gives approximately half a fuck about the NFL. Dan Snyder has fired coaches for less.

That's what I don't get though. Playing Griffin over Cousins hurts their chances long term and also today. They may have won this game if Cousins started. It was a terrible, indefensible football decision on every level.

I think RGIII is too classy to do it, but he should tell the owner it's either him or Shanahan.

I'm sure he wanted to be out there and he doesn't regret the offenses. That's what 23 year olds do. 60 year old coaches should know better.

I disagree, if you watce.hed him scramble left early in the 1st quarter, there is no way you cam say he was fine. He was running half speed.

Character? Ok... Shannys career coaching record speaks for itself. He has the 12th most wins in NFL history, & more wins & championships than many many other great coaches. You dont coach for 26 years if you are bad at your job. I like his kid too & I believe that he will be a chip off the old block & have a pretty good career as a head coach in the NFL. He had a good teacher. Up until today many people were heaping praise on Shanny for being able to completely scrap his offensive system in order to adapt to RG lll & having success in his rookie year. Only a football 'tard would criticize Shanny as a head coach, given successful career that he has enjoyed.
Injuries happen. I bet Leslie Frazier wishes that he would have played Ponder anyway.

As someone who must have watched Joe Gibbs come back and flail around you have to understand when the game passes you by as a coach. John Elway isn't coming through that door. Jake Plummer isn't coming through that door. Shanny fucked up today.

I'll grant you that. Its probably time for Mike to let Kyle take his job.

Character? Ok... blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah Did I ever mention that I was right about Harbaugh? Check out my avatar! I'm sneering at you through Him! blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah Hey, remember how I was right about Harbaugh? Well his brother is a good NFL coach too! In fact, last year we were a few plays away from ending the season with the Harbaugh Bowl, which means that nepotism is warranted, which means that Shanny's kid is really good too! * ad hoc's a loogie * blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah you're a 'tard if you disagree with me (gosh, I hope Mac doesn't read that) blah blah blah blah blah blah blah Leslie Frazier would too.

Shanny did wonders for Terrell Davis' long and storied career, right? DING! Ergo, there is only one correct diagnosis here...

Football Dusty.

HOWEVER

nothing posted in this thread will top that image. ergo, HIRAM WINS THE THREAD. we speak your name!

Look at my avatar damnit!!! All hail Jim Harbaugh. He will only be replaced by Mike McCoy, if & when the Bears hire him.

Don't let RG3 be the football version of Kerry Wood. In 1998 the Cubs kept him on the mound and then pitched a playoff game when he was clearly having issues and he never was the pitcher he could have been.

Ironically it was James Andrews who cautioned the Cubs on Wood and eventually performed the TJ surgery.

Football Dusty.

So he put TD out there when he was having migraines and losing vision, what's the big deal?

Mike Shanahan has one playoff win since 1999 and five playoff appearances in his last 13 seasons coached.

Scorehead is an excellent judge of character and ability.

RG3 was allowed to play hero ball even though he was injured. An injury that could be career altering too. That makes no sense at all. Mr. Orange should be fired for putting the franchise at risk.

The Vikings played a PO game without a QB instead of an injured Ponder.

Some people would argue the Viking never had a QB but then Jay Cutler would hope no one notices his numbers was worse this season.

It's not like they gave up 3 #1s and more for RGIII, why worry about the future.

I've been genuinely sad the last day and a half. All this hope and optimism that he restored to a dead franchise, and it could all be gone already.

RGIII will be fine. He's a good passer.

I can already see the story written two years from now how the knee injury made him better because he had to rely more on his arm.

I'd still take him over Luck.

Plus I named my new puppy Griffin. Let's hope he stays healthy. Not sure if a vet can repair an ACL tear on a 3-lb. chihuahua.
