Some good games today. Should be a good day.

The NBA showcase games...the next meaningful games the playoffs.

Yep, just like every sport except college football. You're starting to get the hang of this sports thing Walt.

DeMarcus Cousins is not with the Kings in Portland (Coach's decision).

The team has suspended him for being a bitch. What a waste of talent. If he ever gets his shit together, he could be one of the top players in the league.

I think the word is insubordination. Right now, I don't know if DeMarcus Cousins is worth taking a risk on, especially if he & Sacramento HC Keith Smart continue not to see eye to eye.

I don't think they ever will SHARK. Cousins is 6'11" while Smart is 6'1".

I will trade you my 1st and 2nd round draft picks. And David West and Kevin Martin.

Oh wait, this is for Douchebag not Hova himself...

obviously Melo, he tried to escalate and and take it outside in the parking lot....KG may be an instigator and all that, but he's just doing that to get under people's skin ala Rodman....Melo is an idiot for first trying to stalk him outside the locker room then for trying to confront him outside. Clearly he was out of control. And now he's backpedaling and trying to cover his tracks to avoid a suspension which he obviously deserves.

Well said, that pretty much sums up the story. KG would love Melo to take a swing at him. Plus Garnett could beat the shit out of him.

Im not sure about all that. Obviously Melo deserves a suspension, but Im not sure I entirely blame him for going after KG after the game. Telling someone their wife tastes like honey nut cheerios is probably not just standard in-game trash talk.

c'mon man....you don't think someone like Jordan ever said shit like that ?
you be like Nas and say that if someone talks shit about your wife you beat them to a bloody pulp, but the bottom line is all KG said was words intended to get under Melo's skin which it obviously did, and Melo went looking for physical retaliation. Bottom line, no matter what KG said , if had said Melo's mom was a whore and a slut that doesn't justify physical retribution

This goes back to the Charlie Villanueva "Cancer patient" thing that happened a couple seasons ago with KG. Why is trash talk during games becoming public? Do something about it in the game. Why leak it to the press, or stalk someone in the tunnel or locker room? Melo is making himself look like a bitch here, which I guess is par for the course for him.

I agree it doesnt justify it, but it helps explain it. Im not saying his behavior was acceptable, just that it was understandable.

Jalen Rose was talking pretty in-depthly about all of this on a podcast with Bill Simmons yesterday. He said you really dont hear wife/fiancee/girlfriend trash talk on the court. Thats a known untouchable subject of trash talk. He said Gary Payton and KG are the only players he's ever played against who broke every unwritten rule of trash talking, and there's a reason many players hate both those guys.

I'm in a pay fantasy league, and I had Varejao at the beginning of the season when he was on fire. I decided to sell high and someone offered me Joakim Noah and Barganani for him. Best trade ever. Even with the Barganani injury, Noah for Varejao is still a steal.

I havent played fantasy in four or five years, but the night Artest went crazy in 2004 I was watching it live, Im pretty sure it was a friday night, and immediately called up my buddy and offered him Artest for Okafor and Brevin Knight. He was pretty drunk and just kept calling me a dumbass and was asking if I had some obsession with Charlotte players. He got to a computer and accepted it right away, and like 30 minutes later found out what happened and called me back swearing and threatening to fight me. I won the league that year.

That's awesome. I've tried the sneak trade a couple times when I witness a bad injury or something similar, but haven't been able to sneak one by yet.

Dang, exactly what I was afraid of. He's never played a full season.

I guess he can continue mentoring Thompson and Zeller on crutches or in a wheelchair.
