So, im loving the Team Of Destiny branding that is going on for the cubs.... to add, here is why they are going to win the WS this year. My grandfather passed away a few weeks back. He was a great man and after returing from WWII, making it all the way accross europe starting with D-Day, he began work as a porter for the Chicago Cubs for a number of year. My grandfather stuck by them and was a die hard fan for over 80 years. His wish was however to see the cubs finally break the curse..... he died several days before the Zambrano/Barrett fight.... things have been looking up since then havent they....... hmmm......
anyway, i love the casting ideas teh MJH have been throwing around... here are mine.....
Koyie Hill played by Bruce Willis - Based on resemblence and the fact that bruce can handle bombs in movies, and Koyie can handle the ticking time bomb that is Zambrano.....
Mike Fontenot played by Elijah Wood - They look the same and Wood allready had practice playing the roll of a hobbit.... (if you dont understand, look for a picture of Fontenot stading next to D Lee..... you will understand.....)
Derrek Lee played by Will Smith - They are both 2 smoooooth cats who know how to score........
Alfonso Soriano played by the Koolaid Cartoon Pitcher - See pics below and try and argue with me....
Cliff Floyd played by 50 Cent - All Rapers can act......
Rob Bowen played by Drew Carey - They have a similar nerdy look....
