I think the more obvious explanation is that this allowed him to carry on a gay relationship with his boyfriend while at school by using a fake twitter as the guy's handle so it would appear Teo was straight to his teammates and fans. People started asking questions and they probably got in a big fight which resulted in the explanation given so people would stop asking about it.

Unfortunately, it was not well thought out and really backfired. Mostly due to the naive nature of young adults. So now they are backpedalling to try to cover it up and save Teo's reputation before the draft.

Yes, I'll believe he was in on it if he is gay.

Otherwise, him being in on it makes no sense.

For this all to work I would suggest that the "scammers" were all-pro level for getting one over on him, the team, the coaches, the university, NBC, ESPN, and by association The Pope ... okay, maybe not him.

Complete conjecture, but let's say in the coming days or weeks he announces that he is, in fact, gay, but concocted this story, knowing that the college football culture would not be accepting of his sexuality, and he's sorry that it caused so much embarrassment for ND blah, blah, blah.

Does he still do the combine? If not, why not?

Does he get drafted? If not, how does that reflect on the NFL talent evaluation?
